the 2nd one is kinda a "weak" Haribito.

but the first one is actually the first time i see a manufacturer actually specify a around-the-world pattern for badminton. i am curious how well it plays.

many old stringers here in Malaysia actually use the around-the-world pattern.
    the blue one is top-down,
the red one is bottom-up and box-pattern (around-the-world)

but the 2nd pattern is really new to me .... well maybe really worth to try at least for experiment.
the blue color, after almost finish the main (b10), then go up to string the cross (a13), then to go (a14) and continue to do top-down up to (b10) again, then go to (b11), go up to (a14), then to (a13), do bottom-up cross up to finish.
so, for blue color ---> one part is top-down, while other is bottom-up (last 4 cross from top).
the red color is just as like haribito ....

I tried "around the world" for a few rackets and I found which aligned with their proposed methods. For some rackets the # of crosses in between Top 10 main and Bottom 12 main is a even, then the first one applies. For odd # the first one can't be applied, the second one is the only way to get around that. Give you examples, AS10 can't never try with the first one whereas NS9000 is OK. The second one is a modified Haribito I normally use which is also kind of universal for all rackets. I can take 8.3M for a NS9000, short side 4 rackets length and each end will end up with about 5" left.

Also the first one title said 22X21 is misleading, both AS10 & NS9000 are both 22X21. The second one too it applies to 22X21, 22X22 & 22X23 because it is bottom up from the third cross down and up.

why misleading ? it is from GOSEN catalogue, so it is for GOSEN racket according to GOSEN ....
if you use another brand, you should not blame GOSEN by saying misleading ...
    thanks

    Hi maa2003,

Please see what I got the stringing pattern from Gosen China Site today which I think they called it Zhang Haribito.

Please translate it to english, so that I can understand it.

    very interesting.

the name is "Zhang Ren", which in Japanese is Haribito.

per the image, the top two patterns are "basic" Haribito patterns. while the bottom two are "professional" Haribito patterns.

    yes. but two things strange.

the basic one is classified into two types according to the number of holes.

the professional one is classified into two types according to the number of cross strings.

the only one that is really different is the 21 cross string professional one.

i will translate the rest of the instructions later.

    instruction for the basic pattern:

measure the required string length and weave mains:

    1. measure the length of the short side (green on diagram) to be 6 racket length
    2. weave mains from center out. tension L/R halves alternately.

weaving and clamping sequence for cross:

    1. (diagram circle 1) weave the long end into 3 holes higher (4 for 72 holes?)
    2. (diagram circle 2) weave the short end into 2 holes higher (3 for 72 holes?)
    3. (diagram circle 3) weave one line on the short side, tension and hold with starting clamp.
    4. (diagram circle 4) weave long end all the way to the top of the racket. tie knot.
    5. tension the short end string that was clamped. remove clamp. weave down till reaching bottom of the racket. tie knot.

Thanks kwun for the translation .....

I can not read Chinese, but from the way I read the diagram maybe as like this :
    1. (diagram circle 1) weave the LONG end into 3 holes higher (both for 72 & 76 - BLUE color)
    2. (diagram circle 2) weave the SHORT end into 2 holes higher (both for 72 & 76 holes - GREEN color)

looks like there is an error on 72 holes, on 3rd cross from top, I believe it supposed to be BLUE color instead of GREEN color.

now wait for the Professional one ....
