Hi guys, I need your help because I recently broke my strings on my ns9900. The strings were Bg-70 Pro strung at 24 pounds. I'm looking for a string that will offer a bit more power versus the Bg-70 but I still want good durability. I've heard good things about Bg 80 and Nanogy 95 and I'm wondering which one to pick.

Also, if I do pick Bg 80, would I need to string it at 23 pounds because it is thinner than bg 70?

    Thanks.

BG80 is not durable. The only thing it has going for them is the hard feel which many seem to prefer. If you want power and durability, i will try the NBG98. For a 0.66mm string, it's pretty damn durable (more durable than the BG80 IMO) and it packs more power. However, many have complained about the "slippery" feel of the string which doesn't bother me at all.

All strings will break if you hit it close the frame especially the top of the frame. Bg70 Pro is quite durable, my friend had it strung at 24x 26 lbs nearly a year and he plays three to four nights a week. For durability, Nanogy 95 is recommended.

Unfortunately, I don't think I have easy access to NBG98 here in the Toronto area. So its either NBG95 or BG80. I'm just wondering how long BG80 lasts on a general consensus. I play about 2-4 hours a week.

Try Nanogy 95 first if you are really want durabilty.

bg80 would be a good safe choice

quite durable, but more importantly excellent feel and repulsion

i'd rather string one to two more times per year to enjoy the feel and repulsion

Really? Last time I checked they didn't have it. Oh well, I still want the extra bit of durability so the .66mm of NBG98 might not suit me .

Anyways, do you guys think BG80 will last me at least half a year at my play rate? I'm not the strongest player, but I am pretty strong. I just wanna try the string that everyone raves about :p.

I am pretty sure they have it. But if you are looking for something that will last that long, i would recommend BG65 or the NBG95.
