We never expected much from him in the first place, so beating LHI is quite a good achievement... but he is still being bugged by huge inconsistency. He can struggle against unknowns but put up surprisingly good fights against higher players.

Du Pengyu is next in the China Masters.

At least he proved himself once every few tournaments by causing upsets... he even took Taufik to 3-games twice... I say he has improved compared to the others who have shown NO progress at all.

Darren weakness is the 'consistency' of getting the shots in. Particularly when he's too complacent in hitting the shot. Fundamental errors. He should treat those 'easy' shots 'seriously'.

He can go high if he try hard enough. Only himself to have the believe.

Dont be too harsh on him,i believe something did happen to him,if i am not wrong he had just beaten him in vietnam open not long ago rather easily in straight set.so judging from the score i think maybe he is injured.

I think the 1st one should be most likely relevant to him as i know he's quite prone to injury though, hope that his injury is not that serious.
