Liew Daren has bad record against Hu Yun.
Liew Daren played 3 games yesterday.
I saw Hu Yun wins.

Wow, he actually proved me wrong and beat Hu Yun in 2 games.
Tomorrow is QF day... which is his cursed day, never being past of a QF of an SS tournament before. And he's up against the formidable 2nd seed Sasaki Sho.

He is really taking good advantage of the absence of top chinese player and lee chong wei...

And why not

Not all players can play in all tournaments. He really needs the points to establish himself as Malaysia's number one player
. I just checked the rankings and Darren Liew is only one place ahead of Chong Wei Feng. (soon to change)
LCW might have had to play in Denmark to fulfill contract requirements. Never know all the small print behind these things.

'smash king' Liew Daren cruised to French Open final by defeating Jan O' Jorgensen in 3 games...!!
and next opponent is former WJC Viktor Axelsen... Good Luck~~!!

I don't really rate his chances in the final, although he has certainly exceeded all expectations in reaching the final, just like Viktor Axelsen. He was pretty much on his last legs and giving whatever is left in his gas tank towards the end against Jan O' Jorgensen in the form of smashes
. Almost all his smashes then were winners! But I think that's due to the fact that Jan' O Jorgensen had already run out of gas though.

daren played like crap against JOJ... everything he did was wrong.... JOJ just had to give him some face to win... his smashes were all wrong.. his backhand hideous.. among the most hideous in badminton..
i am sure he is gonna play another terrible game in the finals against another superb and young danish player
(ok .. i did the reverse jinx thingy also... . .i hope it works...)

This player Daren Liew has always had potential. If he plays well, he can break into the world top 20 in the next season. It all depends on himself actually. It's wether he wants to compete among the world 20 in the next season or be happy with gp tournaments for now...

And service return. It's almost always the same slice to the right. I've said this in another forum, but let me reiterate that Daren Liew has had solid victory against Sho Sasaki and JOJ in the past. Or perhaps there's something about the weirdness of his style that these 2 players can't seem to read well that gives him the edge. He along with Chong Wei Feng have some weird style of play that makes their moves really unpredictable.
