Every post I read people are saying their racquets have a lot of power and when I see their tension...its higher then 20...y do ppl string so high? i had my mp 55 strung at 18 and had a **** load of power (19 strings kept breaking) i cant even imagine how much more power I would get with a 20+ tension!!

Yeah. You just have to get used to it. I was at 20lbs (probably went down to 18 due to usage) and was doing ok. My smashes were not strong enough so I told the guy to go up to 21lbs. Different string, different feel, much better smashes. As for my other racket, I told him to go 23lbs. Still getting used to it due to higher tension but kinda getting the hang of it. But if i don't get the hang of 23lbs, then i'm going to try 25lbs. Yeah, that might sound weird or stupid but i'm the kinda person who sometimes find things that are harder to use for some people, easier. If that's the right way of explaining it...

Also you said that you were always breaking the strings at 19lbs, could it be the strings that you were using?

Search, search, search. This topic has been discussed to death. Some pros uses high tension and we, the general public, wanted to "Be Like Mike" so we experimented, argued, discussed, disserted the pros and cons of high tension, etc to death.

Maybe serach the key word like "string tension"??? I am sure u will get tons of threads to read.

Also, I believe FAQ also covers some issues.

Last, a lot of issues are just personal preference, it's down to the end user to really try it out. Like it or not, u can make ur decision right after ur own "experiement".
