TAMPINES NORTH BADMINTON OPEN 2011 Hi Badminton Enthusiasts With the support and enthusiasm of all the badminton enthusiasts, last year 2010 event was a great success for us. As such; Once again we at Tampines North CC would be holding our 2nd year badminton tournament. The tournament is being named as TAMPINES NORTH BADMINTON OPEN 2011 (TNBO2011). Date: Saturday 28 May & Sunday 29 May There are altogether 5 categories of events. Namely: 1) Active Agers' & Veteran Men's Doubles (Age: 50 & 45) 2) Mixed Doubles 3) Men's Doubles 4) Women's Doubles For categories 1 to 4 - A) For Singaporean and Permanent Residences B) Eligibility - Singapore Current National Players, Ex-National Players are not eligible to play. Permanent Residences who were Current or Ex-National Players, States Players, Province Players or equivalent are not eligible to play. and a Special Event 5) DOUBLES OPEN - Can be either Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles or Women's Doubles pair to compete in this category 5. C) Eligibility - NO RESTRICTION - on Nationality, Gender nor Status/Level of Standard (meaning OPEN - anyone can play in this special event. As this is only a 2 days event the format would be 1) 30 points rally system (one service) without duce - whichever side reaches 30 points win from Rd 32 to Quarter Final. 2) Semi-Finals & Final format would be 21 points rally system the Best of 3 games. Prizes: Categories 1 to 4 1) Champion - Cash prize (or cash voucher) $200/- - Racquet - Trophy 2) Runner-Up - Cash prize (or cash voucher) $100/- - Racquet - Trophy Category 5 1) Champion - Cash prize (or cash voucher) $300/- - Racquet - Trophy 2) Runner-Up - Cash prize (or cash voucher) $150/- - Racquet - Trophy Registration: Per Pair/Team - $30/- The closing date for the registration date is on Monday 16 May 2011 @ 12pm sharp.
