VT80 vs N90 I

I know both these are head heavy and offensive rackets. But I can't make up my mine which will be better?

N90i.Cause vt80 is speed/power style.n90 is merely power style.N90 concentrates on power more then 80 does.Therefore,N90 for singles only.I prefer vt80 for doubles if you have these two raquets.

Owned both VT80 and N90... I didn't like shaft characteristic of the VT80... Too much give and flexy at the wrong time... Made the racquet unpredictable sometimes...

The N90 is stiff and sturdy. No guessing at all because the shaft won't suddenly give out on you...

I could use the VT80 for singles and doubles but I would have to think twice before using my N90 for doubles...

Why do you say so that N90 isnt suitable for doubles? I have been using one and I play infront and it plays quite ok IMO if not good

, only thing what I realized it aint so manueverable

Yea.. it's just a tad slow on defense in a heated doubles game... I will pick my VTZF 3u over the N90 in that situation...

Am I the only one here that thinks N90(i) is much much easier to maneuver compared to a 3U Voltric?

I found the VT80 3U easy to maneuveur :P

I can use the N90 but going to my backhand on defense is a tad slow...

I wonder if I got a fake copy of the N90(i)racquet, which I highly doubt as I bought mine from badmintonalley.com. Besides that, I went through the mumbo jumbo online webpage validation process using the pin number that came with the racquet, which validated mine as an authentic racquet.

Now going back to badmintonalley.com website, they are currently selling the n90(i) professional edition....are there any differences between the professional and non professional edition, if that even means anything at all. I am sure I got the non 'professional' one as I bought mine more than a year and a half ago.

From what I read in the Li-Ning Fan Club thread...that webpage validation is useless. That it's not a good way to authenticate a racket.

To be honest... They probably cracked the code to validation or they can get a valid code and just engrave it on all of the fakes if they want....

Badminton Alley is a reputable store, I've been there in person several times. I think they changed the specs of the N90 to make it a little bit less stiff; my coach has two of them and the newer spec one is just slightly more flexible, so maybe that's the difference. No, I'm not talking about the N90-II.

After 1 year i have vt 80 and using it very easily but last january i bought n90i and now i love n90i very much even for playing double.. Very2 powerfull racket with better technique u can still defend the smash.

for smashing n90<< vt80 alot
speed vt80 < n90
lob n90 < vt80 slightly different
drive vt80 < n90
defend vt80 < n90 slightly different
backhand n90 < vt80

heaviness n90 < vt80
stiffness n90 < vt80
head heavy vt80 < n90 slightly different
friendly use vt80 < n90

this is just my experience... sorry if i am wrong.

well, after playing with n90 for 3 days, I feel, it aint that stiff that people make out of it. Maybe the head heaviness helps but it surely flexes... much more than I could do with ARC 10... N90 is undoubtedly one of the best smashing machine around only ... the weight does slow it down for quick defense though but with proper technique ... this racket is super awesome!
one thing for this n90, respect and play with right techniques, and it rewards you... try to play like noob and the problem starts... i guess this where vt80 scores. it rewards you with shots that arent played using right technique...
