    Hello experts,
I had my Voltric 80 restrung, and to my surprise, the stringer has omitted the final vertical strings on the right/left side of the frame. Is this normal or should I restring immediately. There are no such gaps in the Voltric 80 pictures by Yonex. Please advise and thank you in advance.

I was so worried, I did not read the archive. I'll just go for a re-string and ask for the missing mains :)

Ummm this does not look normal...looks like they didnt follow the standard/recommended pattern & maybe did it in one piece? Maybe try another stringer...

find another stringer. there should be in total 22 main strings. make sure you print out the Yonex pattern to show them.

however, i don't think it is the end of the world, so don't be too worried about it.

The racket is back to the stringer. Finding a good badminton stringer is not so easy where I live, they mostly do tennis. And they charge 25€ per stringing… :(

25 Euro's?! Bloody hell! Here in the UK you can find great stringers who charge £10!

While I agree that the stringer should not have missed the outside vert strings since the pattern is easily available on the yonex website, it's also not really that big a deal. Sure, it won't play optimally but I would have actually said, talk with the stringer and get him to give you your NEXT stringing free and play with the current ones until they break. Perfectly good string, the sweet spot would just be a bit smaller and off center shots will be slightly less predictable. Unless you're playing tournaments I highly doubt you'd even notice.

25€ with the strings (BG65). 15€ if you bring your own strings, but the stringer in not happy when you do so. Anyway, I'll be moving to Asia soon and as a badminton fanatic, I am more than excited :)

Just found that picture via Google, and I have to say that might be the worst stringjob since that ridiculous attempt at the 900P elsewhere in this forum.

You might consider a stringing machine in the future if you break a lot of strings. There is nothing like massaging your string :D, figuratively speaking.

Also, maybe are eyes are deceiving, but is there a knot tied off at cross 12 from top?

Actually I've seen a WORSE one - in REAL LIFE. One of my club's players has an NS7000 with knots on crosses, but it's also about 5 mm longer and narrower than it should be. Methinks it was done at 21/28 or something equally ludicrous. He's since ditched it - I would have loved to have nabbed a picture of it.

Certainly confirmed the string job is done by a stringer usually work on tennis racquets since that is where most 2-pcs tennis string job tied off.

Pete: quit sending people to the deep end of the cliff :p, but somehow I think most of them still thank you .............. btw, coming to the baddie section tonight.

... and this still looks wrong even on tennis rackets; tying off on a cross is, to me, fundamentally wrong:D. Sorry - my OCD poking out again...
