They are in a smashing form throughout the week. I see their style of play is quite similar with nova widianto

Is there any mistake on bwf ranking for Ryan/Angga this week 15 sep 2011?? or I am just confused..
They are still as 26th, with points 33700 but they have total points 34130 on breakdown ranking..

Only Best-10 results which counted on BWF Ranking, SIN Open result is excluded.

Their Ranking still on #26 because of last year result as QF Saarbrucken GP Gold is dropped.

After 2 good results at the Indonesia SSP & Vietnam GP, Angga/Ryan lost in the first round for 3 consecutive times, losing to pairs from Japan, Korea, and China respectively. I reckon they will still need some time to really become a top 10 pair. It's part & parcel of the learning experience. No worry.

I believe Angga/Rian have played the last match for this year as they will not be competing at the Korea and India GPG. Their World Ranking has improved from 51 in the beginning of the year to probably 17 by next week, which also represents their highest ranking so far!

    Major achievements this year:
Winning the Yonex-Sunrise Vietnam Open GP title - beating Kawamae/Sato (WR11) and Goh/Lim en-route to the title.Part of the INA Team that win the Gold Medal for the Team Event at the Summer Universiade 2011, beating Fang/Lee (WR13) in the SF. However, they lost to Isara/Jongjit in the Individual Event QF.

Runners-up at the Yonex-Sunrise India Open SS
    - beating Bona/Ahsan (WR6), Alvent/AG (WR9), Kawamae/Sato en-route to the Final, where they lost to Hashimoto/Hirata.

Reaching the QFs of Indonesia Open SSP and French Open SS
    - beating Jung/Lee (WR2) and Endo/Hayakawa (WR14). They lost to Chai/Guo and Jung/Lee respectively at the QF of both tourneys.

    Overall-record
(including matches at the Summer Universiade): 24-15

One thing that they may need to avoid next year is the number of first-round (and qualifying) losses, which is 9 this year, 7 of which came at SS tourneys:
Malaysia SS (to Petersen/Rasmussen), Korea SSP (to Blair/Limpele), AE SSP (to Chan/Lim), Singapore SS (to Goh/Lim), China Masters SS (to Endo/Hayakawa), Japan SS (to Cho/Kwon), and Denmark SSP (to Ivanov/Sozonov).

The other 2 first-round losses came at the Malaysia GPG (to Lufti/Vountus) and at the home-event INA GPG (to Shen/Hong).

The other losses were at: R16 of China SSP (to Kido/Hendra) and Macau GPG (to Bona/Ahsan).

Overall, I would say the pair has improved considerably and they are rewarded in terms of the title won at Vietnam and notable victories over several pairs ranked above them. Can they reach the top 10 by end of next year....a little bit tough, but some pairs may retire post Olympics (like Kido/Hendra, Jung/Lee, Fu/Cai, Alvent/AG) or split up (Guo/Chai, Bona/Ahsan, Petersen/Rasmussen). It may be a whole new world out there, so, they have a chance to be in the top 10!

i put the summary only :

    "
Anga/Rian has been playing well this time, but they still lack experience alone.Their shots were still raw,but they have a lot of progress compared to previous appearances. They now contro lthe balls in front so it canset the attack well.Unfortunately in the third game they doing a lot of unforced errors"said men's doubles coach,Herry Iman Pierngadi.

The rest Herry also said Anga / Rian has good prospects in the future. In addition to its still relatively young age, he mentions this pair is able to master the technique of the game and have a pretty deadly attacks.

Sometime it depends on the style of play especially in MD
For example Naoki/Shoji, Rian/Angga and GWS/LKW never seemed to have much problem with them but this pair beat Bona/Ahsan a few times already!
