Tomorrow if I have time, I will post pics. I will have to talk to victor, although, they don't have any SW35's left, maybe they can give me a MX80 instead

I've seen the MX80 mentioned a lot on this forum. Is it the Meteor X 80? Has it been released yet? Any solid reviews? I'd love to hear your opinion on the racket if you've played with it!

Am so excited - my SW37 arrived today and my MX80 will be arriving on Monday! Cannot wait to test them out and see how they stack up against my current favourite - BS12

just the string, I hadn't used this string at this tension before, I had tried BG65 @ 28lbs, but it didn't feel very tight. So I tried VS850 @ 28lbs, and for me everything about it was great... And then it broke. I know I am not out of my limit, as I felt no pain, and I played better, and if you have the technique you can definetly smash harder. I had to switch back to my other one @ 24lbs, and didn't play as well. It also felt too spongy on impact.

Do we have any consensus about which colour(s) VS850 are the best?

I usually just go white these days, but since I got my MX80 the white strings STILL haven't bedded in and they move all over the place - and I've had it for 6 weeks. Not a particularly low tension either at 25lbs.

In my opinion, i really liked the feel of the Black VS850, the texture of it is more rough than the white one, which for me is better. The blue one as well seems to be rough, although i havent tried it yet, the yellow/lime one seems to be in between the white one and black one in terms of texture.

    For me:

    1. Blue=Black
    2. Yellow
    3. White

Although i dont like using white strings, i prefer having some colour, although i do believe there are slight differences in playability.

I'm currently using a BS09 and feel like trying out a new victor racket. Do you think if i like the BS09 the BS12 will be a good choice for me?

I think so, bs09 and bs12 having more or less the same stiffness, perhaps its an upgrade for bs09. But i think bs12 is faster than bs09, it feels lighter.

The 12 is the closest relative to the 09, yeah.

I just got the same story last nite, a friend of mine broke his 26lbs VS850 in less than 1 week. Fortunately mine is so far OK, although I must admit so far Im not a big fan of Victor string as yet.

I had it more than 2 months and it still moves all over, all in the clubs have the same prob. Most of Victor rackets at my club is strung by the same stringer, and it seems that he strung them at 26lbs so I can say that its not because its have not bedded yet but the surface is too slippery and required a higher tension.

I've had 6 weeks on VS850 at 25lbs and no problems aside from it not really bedding in.
