Xu Chen/Ma Jin will be the first choice?
They lost straight set to Riky/Shendy in MalaysiaGPG
IMO, Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei are more stable

So CHN excludes reigning WChamp CJ & WL. CHN is still strong fave to defend Sudirman Cup, 4 times in a row since 2005 edition.
And the strongest rival for them this time will be DEN.

No surprise regarding the omission of CJ and WL. Poor CJ has hit a poor patch of form and WL is still on the recovery path from injury. BCL's good showing in the MAS GPG probably bought him a ticket to the SC.

XC/MJ?? Seriously?? Are CHN trying to be generous and gift their opponents a potential point? Probably will never get to the XD match anyway, haha

No Du Jing in list :)
Wondering whether this list will be projection for OG 2012 also.
Will Shu Cheng/Pan Pan be new fixed CHN pair?

DEN must be licking at the prospect of winning points from XD (Joachim Fischer-Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen), MD (Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen), and perhaps WS (Tine Baum, if she has fully recovered).

MD and XD for sure, but judging from recent performances, Tine is still a shadow of herself. It might be too big of an ask for her at this moment.

I think it depends on whether the player is involved in multiple disciplines. I may be wrong.

If XD is played first, it gives CHN's opponents an even better chance of a head start.

China has the luxury of many pairs to select but other countries no, they have to play 2 discpline.
Or they can purposely put 1 player to play 2 discipline if they are stronger in XD. Normally it ends up XD 1st, WD last.

Don't look down on Xu Chen and Ma Jin just because they lost in first round in Malaysia Grand Prix. Ma Jin is one of the best front players and Xu Chen has lot of powers and playing great defense. I will bet that they will win every game.

I must admit I am not much of a MJ fan and XC has not really impressed me that much, hence my biased opinion, hehe :D

That's why I wrote "perhaps WS" :) Even if Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei are fielded, Joachim/Christinna have good records over them, beating them over the past 2 encounters. I will think that LYB will field Xu Chen/Ma Jin to face Joachim/Christinna (should they meet).

Same question to me, Xuchen game is over for him to improve. I tend to think that put effort toward Chai Biao, Zhang Nan or othe new pair is better idea. sorry to comment like that but I still thank you to him for contributing to the match as he is better than almost rest of the world but it is the weakest desipline for the CHN team.
