No, that is not an insensible post at all (saying 'get back on topic'), IMHO.

It's just to remind BCers not to just read the last posts in a thread without paying attention to its thread title.

An example is the Lee Chong Wei's thread. Many Lin Dan's fans in that thread talked more about Lin Dan than about Lee Chong Wei.

Discussions are organic. How about this radical idea......let them be organic.

I swear, only a bunch of controlling IT nerds would get their panties in a knot if human conversation didn't follow some orderly pattern. It's not the nature of the beast. Let it be. Either do something to redirect the conversation if you don't like where it is, or go find another one more to your liking. That's how it works!

Agree with what you have said.

Our BC community is actually quite closely formed. We get to know who are our BCers who care not about what our topic/title is. They often change the subject matter (just because they like to?).

Best to ignore such people.. they get their joy in incurring the wrath of others.
