I'm here to kick the door!

VS-850 has more grippy texture, hence, owns BG80 or 85 any day of the week! lol~~~

I used to play the NBG98 but after playing with the BG80s, though there is less power, i find there is MUCH more feel with the BG80s. Net shots are more controlled. The NBG98 gets real spongy as it got old and becomes extremely dull. I think so far, the BG80 is the best yonex string i have tried. I have yet to try the BG85 and have high expectations for it.

    i have tried BG80 and BG85 before. both on tension 26lbs. BG80 on AT900T and BG85 on NS9900.

after playing for a month with almost the same usage, i realised that NS9900 loses its tension more than AT900T and both are strung by the same person and same machine at the same time. so i guess, BG85 is unable to hold its tension long enough compare to BG80.

nevertheless, BG85 also provides a very good hitting feel when it is just newly strung. i bought it at SGD$3 more than BG80 though. therefore, i decided to string both rackets with BG80 :D

I using bg80 for all my racket now.
I used to playing with bg66 and nbg98, but these string need a higher tension (in my opinion)
    when using bg66 i strung at 29-30lbs
now with bg 80 i strung at 25-26lbs
I feel the bg80 is "stiffer" than bg60, so i don't need a high tension, when using it.
overall bg80 is a great string!!
plus, its saving my money n my racket.

BG80 is nice strings, but too bag, it breaks too fast for me. BG 85 slightly more durable than BG 80. But the feeling of smashing still BG 80 better. I feel BG 85 more on control.

I have been using BG85. The impact point sounded just excellent with "POW" (was scoulded by my frens for being noisy when smashing ;p), anyway power/repulsion definitely are as solid. But Both BG80/85 are of same coating and material except the diameter. Durability i believe 80 has the upper edge as it is 0.01 thicker. Any active BG80 user can share your experience? Because YY packaging name it as the power smashing tool or etc etc. May have the itch to try out 80 for the next string haha XD

    Fyi, i string @ 25lb on my AT700.

I now have the bg80 on my vt80 with 28x30 lbs and i have to say its awsome!!! maybe its because i now using 4lbs mor tension but the repulsion and the feel on hitting is great! on the net i produce some misshits but i think its because of the tension. the hard feel of the string really fits me well!

Used BG80 on my Armortec 250 strung at 24 pounds. Very, very easy to generate a lot of power, and good control at the net as well. Only downside is that the string only lasts a month or so max for me : (

I use BG80 on my Voltric 80 strung at 24lbs as I find that is the right balance for me in terms or control and power. I love it, especially my touch shots at the net seem to be more consistent. I also like the repulsion it gives when defending. The only downside is it's not very durable.

    Kindest regards,

    -Ajay-
