found this from a post in fb:

Badminton recycling: Old tubes cut in half to put pens/pencils, unused grip sticker as "mine" stickers, broken rackets + tap as air resistance training rackets, and maybe send old shoes to rubber-processing plants to make new tracks.

    Now the issues are:
    -cut string: ???
-dead shuttles + feathers: packing material???
    -old grip tape: ???

    anymore ideas?

I think I mentioned it before, but if you have a lot of time on your hands...

    You could...:)

If you have broken a racket, from the shaft overflexing, then you could cut a section of the shaft, then you can insert those things that you get in pens that have ink in it, to convert the shaft into a pen !:D

    Hard to explain:)

My 9 year old recently used stringing scraps to complete a "make a musical instrument from recycling" school project. :)
I'm sure he was the only kid in his class with a BG66 and Z62 strung UkuleXyloGuitarophone.

nice.. is it sound good or just giving a high pitch? maybe by combining different thickness of strings would produce more vibrant pitch to his UkuleXyloGuitarophone ^^

I've seen a movie using guitar strings for badminton racket, so the reverse should also work...8)

I hope it wasn't metal guitar strings. That would be hard on the frame.
The badminton strings worked fine on my son's invention. Used dowel for tuning pegs, and chopsticks to whack the strings.

What other things have people done with badminton detritus?
There was the fellow who made mini-shuttles. What else do folks do?:)
