Last week i played badminton for 3 days in arow (easter long weekend). and ever since after that, my wrists have been aching and when i move it, sometimes i hear slight clicking noises. Is there anyway i can do to help fix this problem. Thanks.
Hey dude, we're some what in the same boat. When I was playing badminton for 4 days straight on the easter weekended, I played at least 5 hours a day to as much as 8. On the Tuesday back, my right thigh, both my calves, and a blister on my foot prevented me from going to school. On Wednesday when I played badminton I still had some pains in my foot and till now I still have some so it might be just a minor injury and the best thing to do is to not work it so hard if you must play badminton and get lots of rest and stretch it frequently during games and stuff. I've been stretching my right leg when rallies end frequently since that's where the pain really is.
It just kinda scares me when my wrists start clicking. Maybe next time i shouldnt play so hard..haha. I think i'll stop playing hard for awhile..until the pain goes away.
I think the clicking is the same as cracking your knuckles. Air bubbles getting inside, that's what happens when you crack them. But i'm no doctor so I would get my wrists checked. Tare Panda
<sigh> When you become as old as I am, you'll very quickly learn the limits of your battered body and how not to extend yourself beyond your capabilities. Injuries take a long time to heal, and physiotherapy isn't the cheapest thing on Earth either. -Rick
What did the doctor say? I've noticed the clicking in my wrist also but it's after a hard couple hours of badminton using my full strength on every smash and clear. Tare Panda
This also happened to me when i switched from a very headlight 4u racket to a TI SP SX 3u (i was trying out my friend's) I swung really hard and didnt warm up with the racket and suddenly my wrist strarted to hurt. The next day my palm started to hurt. I have no idea waht happened. After a week the pain went away
