Why would they want to hire MF for? If they win the gold, MF would be perceived to be one to deserve the credit. That s the last thing they want. Getting the gold is not for the sake of LCW. It s about who are going to be rewarded. However, making sure that Rashid does not sit in the coach s chair anymore during LCW s matches would increase LCW s chances of winning. LCW learned diving from LD? How did LCW become the only MS to dive without the abs touching the floor? Can someone help define talent? Amazing. Badminton is possibly the only sport whose WR1 of 3+ years achieve that by being less talented, with a late start at the age of 11 years old. Or as some suggested, less intelligent. Badminton must be a crummy sport.

i think they are going the right way training new players up letting them joining more tournaments is a good start the single players are coming up they just need more experience

Also after Hafiz left there has been more chances for the backup...

It's crazy to mention LCW in this topic, he has been in nearly every final this season and at worst every semi-final. If that is your reason for posting this topic, that seems ludicrous. If you are referring to men's doubles and the poor attitude of KKK and TBH then I can at least accept that as a reason to criticize BAM. Malaysia have won the last 4 boy's doubles junior championships and yet they have not been able to produce a decent second pair. Yet we comeback to LCW not able to beat LD consistently or CL getting the better of LCW recently.

Better to talk about the lack of any Malaysian women in world badminton elite then talk about LCW not beating LD?

Malaysia/Bam can't buy a Chinese coach? I think this is another crazy post by LCW fanboy's who can't except that their hero isn't better than LD.

LCW has been losing pretty regularly for years!! Yes, BAM, now would be a good time to come up with the strategy you couldn't find all those years. Even when you had really good coaches...

Who told them to change coaches? Obviously this talk is everywhere and they cannot escape it. But Nadzmi should take heart: changing coaches is something they are very good at, so why be bashful now?

16 candidates, including former national chief coach Razif Sidek, are vying for the high performance director post
The BA of Malaysia's (BAM) search for a new high performance director (HPD) will begin this week with former Thomas Cup winner and national chief coach Razif Sidek as the most prominent name on the list.

While HPD Datuk James Selvaraj, who is on a part-time basis, will end his duties on Dec 31. BAM president Datuk Seri Nadzmi Salleh said 16 candidates had applied for the post.
It is learnt that among the applicants for the HPD post are fresh university graduates.
BAM had advertised in the newspapers on Nov 26 for a new HPD.
Nadzmi said a special committee comprising BAM, National Sports Council (NSC) and National Sports Institute (NSI) officials are expected to vet the shortlisted candidates.
"The High Performance Director has an important role as he is the linkman between the management and the coaches as well as the players.
"He must be someone who has the experience and the administration qualities," said Nadzmi.
"The candidates will be called for interview and the special committee will make recommendations based on their credentials and ability.
"We have to be thorough with the process as the HPD will play an important role next year where the London Olympics will be held and we want the most qualified person to be in charge.
"If the special committee and the BAM management feel there are no candidates with the experience and the expertise, we have to look at other options."
This means there is a possibility that Selvaraj, who didn't apply for the full-time position, can still be considered if BAM feels that none of the applicants are qualified.
It is also understood that former Thomas Cup winner Kwan Yoke Meng, who had also been approached, didn't apply for the position.
Selvaraj has been the HPD on a part-time basis since September 2010 as he is still contracted to Bata Malaysia as its senior manager.
Razif has previously voiced his interest in serving BAM on a voluntary basis and it remains to be seen if he gets the nod as the new HPD.
