    Karakal Sock

Karakal X-3 and New X 4 sock is by far the best on the market...X-4 is 4 times thicker on bottom than single ply sock....www.karakal.com has downloadable catalog

They're really expensive for socks too at £6 a pair. For that price you can buy a 3-pair or even 4-pair pack of normal sports socks.

I use Karakal X3s, best socks I ever owned. My pairs lasted about year with daily use, I went from six pairs down to one left now. Extremely durable, sure to outlast most other socks. They're very thick and comfy, sometimes they can help you get a bit more snug fit to your shoes too.

So if these socks are thick enough, is there a need for insoles in the shoes? It may get pretty tight in there with thick socks and insoles, don't you think?Comments!!I ask this as I'm contemplating to get some SFB or SFO in my new SHB 85's..But if socks will solve the purpose then I will do without the insoles.

The superfeet are not about cushioning but rather about support. Thick socks will not help in this regard. The rigid arch in the superfeet help maintain the correct bone alignment which helps prevent fatigue in your foot muscles. Thick socks help fill out gaps in the shoe for a better fit and add comfort but serves a completely different function from a good insole.
