http://www.directsportseshop.co.uk/which_badminton_racket/badminton_rackets.aspx Has anyone tried using this? Will be interested in seeing your results. For me, I struggled not to get the VT80 as my number one choice, seemingly no matter what I did! Must be rigged hehe. By the way, Victor and apacs fans probably best to stay away, as they're not included!
There will always be room for improvement but good, finally someone thought of it...I think it's decent to begin with.
I don't believe this is very "real". For example, just select Yonex. You'll see there almost all series of rackets. I've seen ArcSabers, Armortecs, Voltrics and NanoSpeeds all in the same page, even though they have quite differente specs for different styles of play. Useless except for the price selector.
This link should work better than the one in OP: http://www.directsportseshop.co.uk/Selector.aspx?Sport=Badminton
It doesn't seem very accurate. It said Yonex Arcsaber 10 is medium stiff? In Yonex catalog it's stiff.
Hi guys, I actually compiled the data on all racquets by measuring them personally in the same conditions for every brand. a|extan & KinkySmasher - Arc 10 is medium stiff when compared across all brands and not just based on what Yonex are telling you. It may be classed as stiff to Yonex but that doesn't make it stiff compared to a Head/Li-Ning/etc version of stiff. riuryK - Each range of racquets by the same manufacturer isn't that different either, a manufacturer will bring out a new stiff/head heavy racquet in each range they release. So for playability they will be similar, it would be poor practice for a company to stop catering for part of their market in their new range of goods. However I am not involved in the programming of how it chooses which racquet comes out at the end of the selection, you can be assured it is not rigged for a VT80 every time . Oh and the random squash racquet somebody spotted I was pretty sure that had been removed, but as it hasn't I'll tell the programmer it's still appearing.
