Hi I havent bought a racquet in years as have only been getting back into badminton after years away, wrecked by racquet lastnight so need to buy a new one for the first time in years, unsure of what to buy or whats good, I play at a pretty decent level and Im steadily improving...

Im a tall player and have an excellent smash, never had any problem clearing and Im steadily improving around the net.

Always liked a light racquet for control.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers in advance

    please answer these questions:

    what is your previous racket?
    your play style?
do you prefer stiff or flexible shaft?
how about the balance points, do you prefer head light, head heavy or even balance racket?

    budget and brand preference?

Its a prince 500 expanded powerzone (different shaped racquet head which I quite liked)

I would have a fast aggressive style

I would prefer a stiffer shaft probably

    Even balance racquet

I dont have a brand prefence as long as its a decent racquet and could afford to spend up to £80, Im unsure how much I would need to spend?

    Cheers

top range racket especially from Yonex would be around £150
but don't worry, even with £80 you can get good racket
if you want stiff and even balance racket, I would go for arcsaber 008 (£62)
*try sports direct, it's the cheapest you can get on net as they are on sale on sports direct right now
(but of course you need to restring it, factory string is not good)

or if you want extra stiff shaft (remember not everyone can use extra stiff shaft) and higher tension, go for arcsaber 009DX (£70) (009DX warranty cover up to 27 lbs while 008 cover only up to 25lbs)
