Default Cai Yun & Fu Haifeng vs. Lee Yong-dae & Jung Jae-song

firstly, heartiest congrats to world champions for finally finding the solution to lee yong-dae's powers.

with defense of great wall of china and speedy drives, the kimchies simply have no answer.

now even Haifeng can defend superbly. is he the complete men's doubles player like park joo-bong?

Glad to see Cai& Fu are back, and did not lost their fighting spirit. But Par Joo-bong is a real legend, Fu still have a lot of things to learn to improve, and the pair still have a long long way to go. God bless them!

think the only medal lacking for fu is the olympic gold medal.
if cai yun is like wine, then he stands a chance of surpassing the legendary park joo-bong.

i don't think so...park joo-bong is very versatile like Kim Dong Moon. He also played mixed and even got a silver medal in 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

The Cai/Fu pair looks invincible at the moment. Fu's ability to defense has improved immersely. They now have the last and final goals to achieve - the 2012 Olympics Gold Medalists in London!

My suspect is JJS/LYD must be tired after the thailand open.
Anyway, credits should be given to the chinese pair for displaying such an entertaining and awesome badminton for us to watch.

I really doubt Markis is gonna win another big title. He's been out of shape for a while now, and I was incredibly surprised to see them win the AG. Koo/Tan are gonna be very dangerous if Koo is prepared properly - lately, he's been out of it somehow. No fighting spirit.
I just hope the Danes don't get too far, they've enjoyed much success with their tactical game, but I hate their attitude and underhanded tactics.

They're supposed to play in the OG together. And although Ko was more successful in XD recently, it seems like he didn't make the cut :/

It's weir to see comments in badminton fans commonly cited fatigue from the previous competition or even just the previous game to be a determining factor in a player's losing a game.

It looks like badminton players are especially weak physically and never prepared to continuous full-stretched games in one or two consecutive competitions, that makes them look like not professionally prepared always.

Look at tennis. It's very common for MS to play 3 or more hours for 3 to 5 sets of games. Yet no one would say that Federar lost this years FO because he just had a tougher match with Djokovic compared with Nadal vs Murray, or Nadal may lose to Murray because he had a tougher Sodering to handle prior to that.

Excuses like that are just disgracing the professional athletes, who should be trained to encounter 5 or even 10 fiercest / toughest matches to win any championship. Physical capability is just the very basic thing they should have.
