just wondering -- other than the London Olympics, when was the last time players from both sides wanting to lose a match?
    .
I remember (at the Thomas Cup, a few years ago) Korea did not want to face China at the Semi-Finals: therefore giving matches away (by sending in lower skilled players). But that was a team event.

Some BCers might remember it better than I do.

Eventually, Korea got to face China at the Final (and lost to China).

Correct... Let's wait and see how the new system works (when it becomes implemented).

Currently, I thought the replay on the BIG screen (for all to see) should be able to solve disputes over line-calls.

Question High-speed camera (along the lines) to be used by BWF

    .
At which BWF tournament was this "high-speed camera along the lines" started being used to confirm/reject a line-judge's correct/incorrect call?

It has been used by Tennis and Cricket for years (named the Hawk-Eye system: Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawk-Eye ); But for Badminton, I have yet to see any video system being used at a BWF tournament.

At this year's Malaysian SS you could see the cameras on semi finals day on the TV court. I think this was the first test for this system.

If you are correct, it's great. Hope to hear from other BCers (who have watched the matches) to confirm the implementation.

I did not watch any of the 2013 Malaysian Open SS matches because I was following and watching our Australian Open (Tennis) matches playing over the same period of time.
