The objective of this event is to promote the social competitiveness of badminton and make contributions in our community. Our first tournament was a great success with the support of 120 participants. The projected exposure of this event is 150-200 people. The tournament will consist of Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Doubles. Each team will be guaranteed a minimal of two games each. To promote competitive badminton, door prizes and other exciting prizes will be given to participants. An emphasis will be placed on ensuring that most participants receive a small token of our appreciation. Last year, we gave out over $1,000 in prizes. The tournament will be promoted through advertisements on websites, in badminton clubs, as well as media at targeted locations and channels. Posters, flyers, announcements and circulations will be made on university campuses across the Greater Toronto Area.
