    Default Typo on brochure

There seems to be a typo on the NS 9000 brochure.
For both Type X or S, the 3U version has stringing recommendation between 17-27lbs, but in the parenthesis it's converted to 7.5-10kg. The 2U version has 20-25lb, and (9-11.5kg), notice that the 3U has 27lbs has max tension, while the 2U has 25lbs max tension, but when convert to kg, the 2U has higher tension. ?? What the heck..

i think that it maybe a typo with the kg's because in the UK brochure it doesn't even show kg's and it says 27lbs

    Default fake raquet?

    Hi All,

I'm new here and was wondering if someone could confirm whether my NS9k is real or not. I recently bought one in Malaysia from a shop you could say. The raquet is made in Japan but meant to export to China. The colour scheme is totally different from what I see from the images that was posted up. Is this possible? Mine is kinda black/grey overall.

It does have that hologram like sticker on the shaft near the grip though.

im sorry to say im 99% sure your racket is a fake. Yonex didnt make any black/grey nanospeed 9000s. hope you didnt pay to much for it. this is bad news though that the people out their making the fakes can easily get a hold of these holograms.

when did you buy the racket? before or after it was officially released? if it was before then the fakers must have seen a ns9000 to know that it would have a hologram. could you possibly ost some pics so we can see the quality of the racket

haha, i must say i agree that it's a bad colour scheme. although to be fair, there's only a limited amount of variations you can have with black, white and red. gold on a racquet is just wrong!

i saw the racket yesterday and i have to say that it's not a bad paint job but it's not great either.the best part of the paint is definetely the shaft, the head lets it down a little. but on a good note; the paint is of much higher quality to the ns8000

Exclamation Nanospeed 9000 Type X Review

Okay guys , here is the Review. Sorry for a long delay i know. Hey i don't make money doing reviews.

Review Date : Late Dec 05
Racket Type : Yonex Nanospeed 9000 Type X ( X actually stand for eXtra Stiff )
    Specs : 3UG4
    Strings: Yonex BG65 Power ( Supplied )
    Tension: 29lbs , 1 Piece Stringing
    Grip: Original Grip
Technology : Nanoscale Technology, Elastic-Ti , Solid Feel Core , Muscle Power

    First Impression:
Unusual color way. Something that I’ve never seen before. I don’t know weather its beautiful or ugly. But I guess you can’t judge a book by its cover. Will have to see how this racket performs. Its suppose to be head light, but it feel a little heavy on the head.

    Warm Ups:
I felt the racket rather stiff. Timing on initial shots was a little off as I expected when you try a new racket. To familiarize with the racket as usual the conventional baseline to baseline shots. Since the string and racket is still new, the crisp feeling is there when I hit the shuttle. Racket performs rather good. The frame is well balance on both 3 and 9 o’clock. Tried to mishit it few times and I found that the racket is rather forgiving. I Didn’t really feel much vibration. This racket is well developed.
Flat drives are relatively good, reaction time is fast. In terms of smash I Didn’t really focus the effort in swing speed to generate the power.

    Game Time:
Familiarization is over. No more off timed shots , but I does has some problem adjusting with the momentum of the game after a long lay-off from badminton with all the eating and celebrating during the Xmas season, even though with the new racket , it does give me some confidence in executing the shots. The drops are good with pin point precision. Shots control is extremely good when I use this racket especially on the net. The smash power is Solid maybe due to the tension and the string. But compare to other headlight rackets that I used , this one does pack a lot of power. When comes to defense, the reaction of the racket head is slightly slower , but its still good enough.

    Conclusion:

Overall I’m satisfied by this NS9000 X type. The combination of the string with the racket does produce good repulsion sound which gives the confidence to the person who uses it. This racket is user friendly and it suits players with difference playing style. IMO Type X is worth an investment for your game.

I would rate this racket in terms of Feel, Control, Power and Defense. However it is based on my own test and review. It may vary depending on the player, tension and what string you use.

    Feel: 9/10
    Control: 8.5/10
    Power: 9/10
    Defense: 8/10

Pros : I love the control and power. Whipping effect.

Cons: Maybe the color ( don’t blame me if I have bad taste on color ).

    Suitability : Intermediate/Advance. Singles/Doubles racket

i'm happy now, the racket has been given a great review and it sounds like it will suit me. it's always a good sign that the only con is the colourscheme

Exclamation Nanospeed 9000 Type S Review

Review Date : Late Dec 05
Racket Type : Yonex Nanospeed 9000 Type S
    Specs : 3UG4
    Strings: Yonex BG65 Power ( Supplied )
    Tension: 29lbs , 1 Piece Stringing
    Grip: Original Grip
Technology : Nanoscale Technology, Elastic-Ti , Solid Feel Core , Muscle Power

    First Impression:
In terms of Color way it is the same like Type X. Feel that this racket is well balance and slightly lighter than its counterpart.

    Warm Ups:
Since I’m used to the NS9000 already. I don’t have problem adjusting with this racket. Baseline drives are easy! I think its due to the Elastic Ti Technology. The whip effect is there. Shots seems effortless. Net drives are definitely fast. Its fun to play with Type S.

    Game Time:
The racket have good flexibility even though it is stiff. I find it a little hard to control the direction of the shuttles. Initially I have problem timing my net play. Most of the net shots are higher than usual due to control. So it’s a little tricky playing with this racket. Drops are relatively good. The racket has good respond. You may feel that your defense is better when you use this racket therefore in terms of defending or blocking the shuttle , I find it easy due to the racket’s design and weight distribution. My racket Reaction is fast and I feel like I can anticipate where the shuttle is whenever i hold this racket. Netkills are indeed good.

    Conclusion:
Speed is the name of the game. I would rather call it Type Speed. What I love about Type S is its whipping effect and its responsiveness. Type S may be a combination on Mp90 and At800 Df. Power and speed. If you have good wristwork, I think you will love Type S. I’m surprised with the new development of the NS9000 by Yonex. Creativity plus R&D made these NS9000 models worth trying. Well there is still more potential that have yet to exploit in the NS9000 series.

I would rate this racket in terms of Feel, Control, Power and Defense. However it is based on my own test and review. It may vary depending on the player, tension and what string you use.

    Feel: 8.5/10
    Control: 8/10
    Power: 9/10
    Defense: 9/10

Pros : Speed, Power and User friendly.

Cons: Maybe the color ( don’t blame me if I have bad taste on color ), prefer it slighly head heavy, lack of a little Control.

    Suitability : Intermediate/Advance. Singles/Doubles racket.
