ive recently changed my racaket. its much better and everything, but i always screw up on the timing. the other racket was heavy(about 95g) while the new one is a bit lighter. for ex, i hit accidently hit on the rim when its the perfect time to hit. any suggestions to improve and get used to the racket?

Start off by just trying to do clears and half-smashes with mostly forearm rotation, so it's easier to coordinate (just forearm involved). Once you have that down, try then engaging shoulder as well, then work to full body involvement. By doing this, you'll get the small actions right first so you can focus on the big actions later.

I have this problem too
even though I have had my racket for a good 3 years now. (but I don't play badminton very often because of school) I guess practice makes perfect. I want to play badminton more often now ![]() |
