Here's my view of ideal tension range ; Beginners 25-27lbs Intermediates 27- 29lbs Advance 30lbs+ THat is the only way to learn the correct technique. rewarding if they get it perfect, and disastrous if you get it wrong. , then once they get the technique mastered (intermediate) then they can move on to slightly higher tension to improve their accuracy of their smashes
I play 2 days a week and train 3 days a week and use a sotx strung to 34lbs and last year I only had to get it strung 9 times
I am not sure what beginers you are talkingm about my brother who's 8 uses BG65@20lbs and he finds that hard for him how do you expect him to use 25lbs ? Even I don't use 25lbs and I am not a beginer
To me, it's more like: Beginner: 18-20 lbs Intermediate: 20-22 lbs Advanced: 22-24lbs Professional: 26lbs-35lbs Resist the temptation and *** appeal to go high tension! It does not benefit at all!
Yonex !!! I need help here.If I am using a Yonex Nanospeed 200 racquet. What tension should I have it strung to?.....My friend who does stringing service is suggesting stringing it at 24lbs or 25lbs with Nanogy 95.However upon looking at the stringing range for Nanospeed 200 it says 17lbs-22lbs.Please advice whether I can string it at 24 or 25 when it says 17-22.
My friend has a nanospeed 200 and he has his strung to 30lbs. I strung my brothers one to 25lbs with bg65ti with no problems. I wouldn't go over 27lbs though just to be safe. Regarding the stringing range I think all yonexs are rated log as they might not need the power but my pals on the Ireland U17 Team have Yonex rackets strung to 29-31lbs some even more.
Yonex !!! Thanks for the advice and comment God.I am confused because I have 2 options....1)BG 80 and 2) NBG 95.My friend who does the stringing suggested NBG 95 as I wanted more durability in my strings. But looking at the comments and reviews in Sir DinkALot's chart, clearly BG 80 is the preferred choice.Since I am using a Nanospeed 200 only, would it be worth it to put on NBG95 OR BG 80 on an average racquet like Nanospeed 200.Bear in mind,I consider myself an intermediate player. When I first purchased my racquet,I have been using factory strings ever since up until now when I couldn't take it anymore since it gives me a very uncomfortable feeling especially when the strings move after each smash or shot. Please advice.
Yonex !!! Actually,my playing style is more towards strokes, stamina and clears to the backcourt.Don't get me wrong,I do smash but my game is not based solely on smashes.I have already come to a decision on BG 80 or NBG 95.I cannot decide on which one?.........If I own an Armortec 900T or P,Nanospeed 9900 or Arcsaber Z-Slash,9 or 10 then probably I think I could get both NBG 95 and BG 80.But since I am using a Nanospeed 200,I need to decide carefully the right string and tension......I have in mind BG 80 or NBG 95 at 24lbs main and 23lbs cross or 25lbs main and 24lbs cross.....which one is good?
Yonex !!! Ok,Thanx. Are you a good player godfather?.....I am from malaysia originally but in England for university studies.
I'm trying for the irish squad next year so im not too bad.Singles is my game and not so much doubles
