Hi nhanhamd, It is a fake racquet. The cone code is wrong. You can refer to this thread. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...2-Guide-How-to-Spot-Counterfeit-Yonex-Rackets Perhaps you can share where did you buy from, so everyone can boycott that shop, lest anyone gets scammed again.
shaft serial has no special format as the cone code. It contains just 7 digits and for every produced racket it goes up one number (from 2000000 to 9999999). for 2010: 9xxxxxx for 2011: 9xxxxxx and 2xxxxxx and 3xxxxxx for 2012: 3xxxxxx and maybe 4xxxxxx
To just add: this is for those Made in Japan models only. The shaft serials for Made in Taiwan and Made in China are both at a different stage compared to the above. Can't double check the above ranges for the years they are attributed to right now but we'll have to take conosen's word for it just now [surely done the research before posting]. (you would expect maybe a tail-end of 8xxxxxx for 2010 as well if 2011 already covered a whole 2xxxxxx series? But perhaps because of new model introductions?)
Just like to confirm if this racquet is real or fake racket model: Yonex ArcSaber Z-slash shaft serial: 2787386 cone code : 110812CD source : Buy/Sell Forum Price: $100, it's abit chipped though. Thanks
Please check it for me! ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Arcs8DX shaft serial: 9152184 cone code : 010 then covered by sticker - SP source : shop in Yonex Sunrise Vietnam ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---
The full cone code is needed. If it's actually yours, no harm tearing it off. I tore all mine off. Doesnt matter.

This thread only serves the purpose of checking fake serials. To verify a real racquet, you have to be on the lookout for other signs of counterfeit as well. Not just a normal-looking serial. you can refer to this: http://www.badmintonrepublic.com/fake/Fake-English.htm. http://www.yonex.com/company/warning-counterfeits/ If you are really adamant on making sure your money is 100% 'well-spent', of cos you can send racquet to US Yonex distributor they'll be able to authenticate it for you.
