Yep, despite adding wt to the handle to manipulate bp, the product of the new bp and new total wt is still the same as before adding the handle wt. :)

lead tape/weight in handle, no difference.

the above posts show that dink accepts rackets that are only in target range because of weight (lead tape) added to the handle - a standard practice from the manufacturer. Now that I know about the practice I really hate it an am annoyed by it.

Didn't know about the whole adding lead tape to achieve weight/bp was used. I guess what I was trying to say was. What is the natural balance of the head without lead tape on the Revelation? If you compare two rackets with same bp and weight, it doesn't necessarily mean they are identical in how they feel when swung. Take ns9900 and at900p, one is head light/balanced while the other is head heavy, they could have same stats but feel completely different. I am assuming the Revelation is slightly head heavy. Can someone clarify how the Revelation's distribution of weight in the head is or how it "feels"?

^^ I'd say the frame design and target bp and wt
    is similar to arc10, a900t, mx70.

But the interesting thing about the "grooveless" design of the P Pro and Rev frame is that it feels very solid on hitting. Much more so than its aero frame would imply.

May I compare between the Precision Pro and the Revelation, as stated in my initial review last week; I have both models, and they are exactly the same specs, weight and BP, and I feel that the Rev's are playing a tad head heavier.

Which mean: easier power, better head stability; but a bit slower in defence and at net kills.

Visor, get a picture of the package, no such string exists.
    Definitely not originally from Ashaway.

In post #6468 of this thread MarkA said, "I tried my vernier on it and got 0.58-0.59 on the slack, so it was definitely Mk1, but I'd never seen it with the new insert either."

Mark's statement indicates that even if Mk1 ZM62 never had a label showing 0.58mm as the diameter, perhaps some of it did ship at that diameter because Mark actually measured some to be of that diameter.

Clarification: Dink is not talking about diameter, Dink is talking about the label "ZyMax 58" or "ZM58" or "0.58mm". No such label exists coming out from Ashaway.

As for string diameter: anything is possible given mixing and matching, old and new string.

Oh, ok. If anything is possible on the actual diameter, do you think your remaining stock of Mk1 ZM62 is varied between nominal 0.58 and nominal 0.62 or is it most likely all nominal 0.62mm?

Before all these other posts mentioning 0.58, I had always thought that all Mk1 and Mk2 ZM62 string was nominal 0.62mm and that the difference between those generations had nothing to do with string diameter.

No, Dink clearly knows what is 0.58 and what is 0.62 because he purchased it that way.

Dink purchased the remaining 0.58. The new stuff is 0.62.

You should not worry about 0.58; other than a few in SEAsia and Dink. No one else will have it, unless it's ZM62 from 3+ years ago.

Really glad to know that if I order some Mk1 ZM62, I will definitely know what I am getting on diameter. Gosh, I already think of 0.62mm as being super thin and 0.58mm is thinner still. I can only imagine that stringing a racket with it feels something like working with sewing machine thread. I will probably have to order some of it just to say that I have seen it, handled it, and played with it a bit.

Many people say it provides big power while it lasts. Maybe I will string one of my secondary rackets with it to just play around with and have fun hitting big smashes!

REVELATION Evaluation; Final appreciation; SPECS = 86 gr & Bp @ 287, string Platinum ZM62 at 22 Lbs, which is equivalent to around 25-26 Lbs for a regular BG80. Mainly playing Men's Double and Mixed Double with feather shuttles.

After a few weeks and many training sessions, I have been able to adapt a lot more to my new Rev's. The shaft, that I thought was more flexible than the PPro's at the beginning, is not much different. The stiffness of the shaft is relatively stiff, responding very well on reaction shots and on forehand or backhand drives.

The head heaviness I was feeling at the beginning, compared with my PPros is gone. I was probably expecting something different from the racquet, but well, I am now very happy. So happy with them, that I have ordered and received 2 more. :p

Racquet finish is still looking great after a few weeks of play, and the clear coat quality is the best that ever been on any other Panda's racquets; no chipping or else; nowhere. Very happy with that.

Power in terms of clears; forehand and backhand, is coming very good, a lot easier to get to achieve than with the PPro's. On smashes, I am also very happy, it gives me more easy power than with my other racquets with no vibration; probably helped by the larger sweetspot and head stability.

No vibrations was important for me, having some shoulder and elbow problems, so I am very happy with that. It also gives more precise shots.

On drop shots, straight or brushed: they are always in control, very easy to put them close to the tape. Again main reason, head stability.

Samething, on net play, can spin the shuttle easily, with lots of precision than with previous racquets.

Now in defence, where I was feeling the head a tad heavy, I got used to the shaft reaction, and can now easily return smashes with lots of control or driving back at them. Again the head stability help placing the shuttle at the right place. Being more of a defence and reaction player now, with the spec I am using, the racquet is very good and quick in defence.

My next step will be to move up on 2 of the 4 racquets I have with higher string tension. I still feel I am not getting the full potential of the woven material that gives so much stability.

I am trying to find something bad; but not much is coming out.... maybe the grommets could be better, some are coming off easily or ruined easily, but I understand I am stringing with thin strings. The grip could also be a tad larger, where I would have need to apply only one Overgrip, but this is very minor.

Final: Anybody that plays that racquet makes people jealous with its Golden butt cap... :D

Seriously, probably the best racquet I ever had, and I had many of them, playing the game for a very long time... But main feature qualities: STABILITY and CONTROL.
