COMEBA - The Confederation of Mediterranean Badminton has recently launched it new website found at http://www.comebadminton.org. COMEBA has been reconstituted in 2006, after a number of years of inactivity. As part of its process of firm establishment on the international sports scenario, COMEBA has identified the requirement to have a modern logo to replace the current one, which was created by the preceding administration. COMEBA is therefore organising a competition for the design of its new logo. The respective competition rules and awards information can be downloaded from COMEBA's own website -- www.comebadminton.org -- by clicking on "news". Best Regards Stephen COMEBA Webmaster
Congrats to all our badminton brothers, and sisters in the Mediterranean Regions!!! Also welcome to the forum's Stephen.
Thanks Kelvin, for your welcome. Badminton is gaining popularity in the Mediterranean at the moment. More are more sports halls are being equipped with badminton courts and nets. COMEBA's objective is to continue to improve and work on Badminton's potential as sport in the region. regards again.
Hi phaarix, Thanks for your interest in the COMEBA Logo Competition. The regulations are correct. They mean that the participant is to be under 25 years of age. The reason behind it is to support one of COMEBA's objectives, that is to give its help to young badminton players in the mediterranean region. -Stephen
Hi Stephen, You may wish to make a posting about the Logo design competition in the general forum. There aren't many readers in the introduction's forum... But I am sure it would definitely generate a lot of interest, amongst the community to help support COMEBA. We have a lot of talented individuals amonst the forum membership, and a lot of them below the age of 25. Cheers.
Hi Stephen, Do you play with this member? http://www.badmintonforum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=15167&highlight=Malta
Hi James, I can't tell precisely as his full name isn't listed in his profile. But if he's the person I think he is, yes, I played a few times with him.
I submitted a logo . Hope I win haha! It was very hard trying to think up a design which would symbolize both the Mediterranean and Badminton :S. But I got there in the end... I'm pretty happy that I managed it . Win or not, I'm looking forward to the outcome!
Hi Phaarix, Thanks for submitting your logo design. The COMEBA Board shall review all the designs soon after the closing date for the competition. Good Luck! Stephen COMEBA Webmaster
Hi Stephen, would I just be able to confirm whether my emails got through (just to be sure you know, it would be horrible to have gone to all that effort only to find I got the wrong address or something and my logos weren't even entered )? My name is Kelsey by the way. Thanks .
Hi Kelsey, I will check with COMEBA's Secretary General since as webmaster, I don't have access to the logo submissions. I'll let you know as soon as I get reply. As long as you followed the instructions on the pdf file, your submission should have arrived safely. Good luck! -Stephen
It's ok, I got a reply earlier . Just happy it got through hehe (seriously I spent about a minute just making sure I got the email address right ).
