selling of fakes is also prohibited on ebay but people still do it. so it is not safe enough to say "rackets sold in BC are legit"
I cant belive that you did that i mean if the racket was a fake kwun would have known...anyways it is your call if someone did this to me i would be quite heartbroken
you are right that it is also prohibited in ebay, but how many people report it and how OFTEN does ebay take action against it? selling in badmintoncentral is a safe bet because if you TRY to sell fakes, you will not get away with it. all the facts will be present (pictures, serial numbers etc), and BC is moderated much more actively than ebay. even regular members will make the call if they see somethign wrong. you will not fool anyone here.
I cannot agree more...Here its safe and people trust each other..plus there people here would help each other so that no one is cheated..

Thanks Matt for the speedy reply! My suspicions got aroused by the strange font used for the letter "x" in the photo I am going to try to attach to this post. They looked like "h" to me, but my camera has better eyesight than me.
heeh I wasn't quite clear. It's not in the picture, but I don't need to see it because it's going to be wrong anyways. If you look at cone yourself you will notice.
I don't doubt it Matt. But I don't see many badminton racquets so for me anyway spotting fakes is not so easy. I mostly string tennis racquets. I have strung a couple Babolat fakes. With a tennis racquet, in addition to visual clues, there are some really noticeable deviations from specifications. For instance, the flex test and stringbed stiffness readings will tend to be low and the overall weight can be wildly off the mark. This badminton racquet strung up quite well. String bed stiffness readings were actually very good. Overall weight not bad either. The only tell from what I can see is that the racquet is about an inch headlight.
If you go on Ebay, you will find a ton of fakes, that will give you an idea how recognition them. On the other hand since you do string mostly genuine Yonex I believe, that will further give you recognition by know what common features the real one has.
Can you please check the nano speed that I have bought for my better half. On the cone it says the following 161205sp Shaft number 6127497 It looks real and cost me £50 cheap but a feesible price? Please reply to alanwaistell@btinternet.com Thanks for all your help Alan
Hi Could anyone please check the serial number of this racket for my friend? He asks me to post it for him because he doubts that it could not be legit since Ti-10 old was discontinued since 2002/3. ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Ti-10 (old color) shaft serial: 5554813 cone code : 190557SP source : my friend price : $100 approximately ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- Thank you very much
I have checked in the information of your Yonex NS9000 Type S shaft Serial:6415785; Cone Date Code:190962TW (date=19 Sep 2006) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate. However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.
