Seems normal for most strings. Would no count out the NGB95 for the users who do like this string. NGB95 is has a soft feeling compared to BG-80 which is stiff.
HI all Can you please enlighten me on the NS9900 vs Arc10 problem that I am having. I have been using the Arc10 for half a year now, and jut started using the NS9900 today. For some weird reason, most of my shots hits the frame and it feels as though as the racket is so light that I am swinging a chupa chup! Is it that I need to use it more as the Arc10 is even balanced or I just suck? PS: I have no problem using the Arc10 in def or attk whatsoever. But when using the NS9900....i feel like a noob!
I tink you tend to be a more attacking player or too used to requiring more head heavy racket. I am not so sure if you can transition between these 2 racquets in games cause they are very different. Arc is more offensive although it's labelled balance. Dont get me wrong, 9900 is powerful too but it's just bit different than the 10. Needs time to get used to it. Give it some time. For me it;s also a like it or hate it racquet.
I switched for AT700 to NS9900 yesterday. At first it felt very bizarre. The racquet felt so light and the shots very weak and inaccurate. I could feel some vibration and I hit the frame multiple times, but after a while the racquet felt like a godsend! Clears (especially backhand) and defense feel so effortless. Even smashes were quite powerful. I still have to get used to netshots, though. All in all, a great racquet. Thumbs up!
ns9900 looks like the arc10's thinner frame, but much lighter. Snapping at the bird with a lot of wrist is quite effective, especially cross court.
don't worry enky 1618 I had that problem for the first 15 minutes but you just have to put up with it eventually you will get over it and you shall hit it cleanly it is a magical racquet once you get the hang of it

Yeah...i guess you are right. I sort of chicken out in the middle of the training session as I was hitting god awful shots. So I swapped back to my Arc10 immediately. Yeah, I am an attacking player but I thought of changing to the NS9900 for injury reasons (tennis elbow) which was suggested by the team captain. Yeah I find it very difficult to change the 2 rackets in the middle of the game as they have very big variations in "swing speed" if you get what I mean. I am hoping I am loving it.....soon. I had the exact same start, even when "Warming up" I had the same issue, and i thought i was just cold. The smashes are a bit "lighter" than the Arc10 but...I cant fully say how well it performs as I keep hitting the frame. AH well....all I can hope for is just have a few for gos on the racket and hope for the best!! Thanks all for the advise etc!!! Have a great weekend!
I don't have a 9900 myself but I tried my friend. I switched from the 9000X and it was a perfect transition. I love it, I love it, I love it. A-freaking-mazing.
Personally i prefer the 2U version. 3U is slightly light for me. 2U have more power and it feels like a 3U AT900s. For headlight rackets i go for 2U.
I like my NS9k 2U but for me, it suffers a bit on defense and maneuvrability, probably because of its stiffness_+_weight. Does NS9.9k 2U have the same problem? Or should I get a 9.9k 3U instead? thanks alot..
The NS9.9k is a lot lighter than some other rackets. In comparison to the NS 9k both at 2U, I feel that the NS9.9k can sometimes be rated as a 3U even through the actual weight. And due to this easy light feeling, defense isn't as bad. It's actually quite good and you can move around pretty well, I suppose.
I have used both 3U and 2U version of this NS9900. Well you can say that 2U suffer a little on maneuverability due to its weight. But then 2U is far more solid in control as well. For me i still prefer 2U.
