I'd heard that Zwiebler used tension in that range, but earlier on the German co-commentator said he's currently using 14kg, which is about 31lbs

I thought it might have changed now with the Z-Force but with ArcSaber 7 it was strung (and reported) by a member here at the US Open in 2011 ...

I can't understand how the umpire have not seen that himself and just overrule the line judge..
no matter what - the Koreans won over the Germans 26-24; 21-18.
    Good match at all

That dubious line call clearly ruined the so called match of the day by TS :p

I don't doubt it, the Arc 7 is medium flex racket. I'm actually surprised that a professional player can use such a flexible racket and not suffer with accuracy problems on fast strokes.

This womens game is a dud.

Li Xuerui is on court next, but I find myself asking why is the world number one playing in a GPG event? Some of the China team have been struggling to make the required minimum super series tournaments, do GPG events count too?

Perhaps it's sponsor pressure? or conditioning in preparation for the All England Championship?

No, Marc Zwiebler has used the ArcSaber 7 almost exclusively since 2009.

I think the some of the Chinese team take this as a warmup since they didn't participate in international tournaments since the Korea Open (and there they did not seem to play seriously..).

    Okay

The new Chinese apparel is really a pain in the eye. I wonder who of the players would wear this voluntarily.

I guess that makes sense, some of the team has definately seemed to be a bit off the pace this year
