It often a shame with leaders of sports associations and their cronies (being there for no other reason than to be there for no reason) have faces' skins thicker than a rhino's hide, even when 10+ years of records shows that they have failed to meet a standard benchmark of churning out a formidable team. I mean just throw in 3 MS, 1WS, 1WD, is that so much to ask after 10 donkey years? But no, they have no shame. Cling to the post like a scared child clinging to the mother's apron. Just leave and let others have a chance before you suck the nation's resources dry.

Coaches Pang Cheh Chang and Tan Kim Her at loggerheads?

Could Nadzmi be regretting he did not counter offer PJB? So now he thinks the miracle he needed to save his seat is kapoosh?

Be that at is may, i think he knows he can't be shaking his feet on his table for long as the state of affairs of both churning out talents and it's management in dire need of a miracle revamp will eventually take a toll. Let's see how long can he breathe easy from now on.

These people, you don't know whether it's a wayang kulit or the truth. Everything has a hidden agenda.

Nadzmi wants to step down cos he's eyeing BWF post, it's been reported. Ng CC, some of the council members dont like him, so..if Nadzmi not there, he could go too.

Rationally, a step down is only imminent if they want this fella. Now whether this is going to unfold remains to be seen. So it is rather another way of saying, 'if you don't want me, others want me', sought of a reverse psychology. I don't really think this fella is worth is salt over here, much less over there.

On Friday, Vountus competed in his first international tournament as a professional player at the Macau Open. He and partner Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari emerged as Malaysia’s best performers in the Grand Prix Gold when they reached the men’s doubles quarter-finals.

    Update...

BAM considers former doubles ace Cheah Soon Kit to head as BAM supremo in coaching. Can he make the difference? Comments welcome.

Don't you just cringed with disappointment when you see so many up and coming junior players showing promising capabilities while Malaysia is still in a state of standing still? Is it because of the inertia is so great and heavy now? Is it because the focus and attention is misdirected? WHAT is happening to the ladies, the WS and WD? Have BAM thrown in the towel long ago after depending on WMC? All it takes it to look at the juniors from Thailand and China and you'd cringed and bite your nails, Malaysia.

after success in junior, those junior direct get the chance to play in senior tournament
the sum of tournament of tai and ratchanok is more than the whole bam ws squad.
lee yong dae play in senior once he succeed in junior.
mas wjc? wait until 19 then join bam, then train 2 years, where is lee yong dae,zhangnan/chaibiao,jongjit/bodin?
bam fall behind for at least 10 years in term of managing and view/vision

What is really going on with the grassroots? Is the development (if any) progressing or regressing? Are the grassroots levels being monitored, if so by who? Isn't it equally important that the one who spots needs a keen eye like MFrost or Tang? Can you send a coal miner to look for oil and gas? When the market is out of fish, isn't prudent to go to sea and fish some more? Likewise, when the talents are running out, don't they go down to fish at the grassroots? Who is doing the spotting at junior levels? I hope it's not the same fella who said what he said of LCW when he was trying to get thru the system that works on 'knowing someone who knows someone'. If the grassroots have failed and underdeveloped, the fact that they are not seeing eye to eye with private clubs does not help either. At this rate, we can say goodbye to malaysian rankings in less than 5 years.

Looking at grass root level, there are many promising juniors coming out under self/family fundings. We can see these talents from local club/school tournaments. What is sad to see is many good ones as they mature through the years, just dropped out from the vagaries of life with changing priorities. It is not easy to remain in the mainstream as these requires monumental sacrifices not only from the player but also from the family who supports the young player. I am not sure if BAM sees any value in this or they can play a more proactive role to encourage/support/guide/coach/sponsor these exceptional talents instead of foregoing the opportunity?

Our mas juniors at 17 to 18 are doing fine actually,

winning wjc singles and doubles in the last few years

but after that their opponents seem to progress faster :D

Mas could have a bigger and better grass root

if BAM is solely behind the so called talent scouting.

Instead, it's been handled by the education department.

After DL won a SS and CWF get into semi of a SSP, BAM thinks that they are super world class standard and wont bother to send them to GPG events.
