So the question is....stay uptown or go downtown? =P Agincourt is probably one of the easiest places to play ($3 drop in sessions!! all weekdays, I believe). Although that might be mornings only.
Baddy, you were telling me a place where you play. Maybe you could suggest that? As for downtown, I think most places would be closed especially those rec/toronto parks and recreation centers which are cheap but it's not real badminton courts if you ever been to one XD So far I'm booked for 20th or 21st, but i rather play badminton with complete strangers then meet up with friends
I play uptown at everydaybadminton but their ceiling is low so if you like clearing you are eventually gonna be pissed lol. We can do Flying Dragon on friday or saturday and play from 11 PM to 2 AM LOL i did that oncee and omgg -.- was sleeping during breaks lol. Well i am okay with agincourt since they have good price cept for bad lighting and courts too close to one another. But i think it will be fun if we go there for some fun and nothing too serious lol cuz im NOOOB man lol
Noobs are not welcome Jk...I'm fine with Agincourt...will anyone need a ride from DT/Sauga or any of the sort?
What07 any racquets on sale? lol =P i just bought another N90II lol as a back up...and i got a Woven 8a for 60 bucks brand new! now thats CHEAP ehh lol
http://www.mjstrings.ca/v1/specials.php Here are some specials, I don't have any I want to get rid yet. Waiting for my new Panda's
So Pete how people did you assemble so far for this event? and what's the general time we would like this event?
5 people of this thread, and I figured I'd bring a couple of friends who are also baddy nerds. We can get 10 no problem. Which, was more than I expected haha. I'm thinking 29th at 5 to 8 at agincourt, and then 8 to whenever for food (if it's past your bedtime, we can accommodate you ^_^ ) We'll play at agincourt since it's the only place with courts that are decent and affordable to play at email me at ptoth@uwo.ca or find me on fb peter toth so we can make it easier to communicate
oh oh oh, one registration right here so how does this work pete? do you guys still need more players?
Well as of right now the time will probably remain unchanged...That being said, they ARE open till 11pm and I have no problems staying in Toronto that late. Does anyone object to changing the hours from 5-8 to say 8-11 and then getting late night food afterwards? The more people we can get, the more fun we have! I figure 2 courts for 12 people is enough, this way we can talk and whatnot while we wait... It's $14/hr per court...so 3 hours is $42/court x 2 is $84. So that's $8.40 per person if we have 10 people. Cheap cheap! Thoughts?
It is, but the problem may be that courts may be unavailable. l'd book the courts in the middle of the gym so that we don't have the walls or those stupid a/c vents to block us.
$8.40 with guaranteed courts...although Everyday badminton I believe has better facilities...how many games are usually guaranteed?
Depends on the time of day. When I went, there were hardly any other people - how many games guaranteed depends on how many you want to play....
