I did try the eagnas Plus-8000 the latest model. their precision is ±3 lb. May be aceptable for tennis. But bad for badminton.

I was going to do it a few days ago but can you believe it? The tripod mount on my camera broke so I cannot mount the camera.

So, I need to fix that first.

The excuses just keep rolling in:D. I did find this on Youtube in case you can't wait:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ4p6HC2e2o

(put up by the inventor, no less). If my enterprise takes off like I hope then I will definitely be bagging one of these (and probably a Toalson X-ST on which to mount it:D).

I still want to see Dan's rendition, though - did you get the foot controls as well?

Yes, you do. I've strung about 50 rackets on the Wise now and it's a dream. :)

It's an Eagnas Combo 910. It's OK for the money, gets the job done but nothing to write home about. :p

Luckily, the 910 Combo has been cloned to high heaven (itself it may be a clone, I can't tell any more:D). I've seen these heads fit on Pro's Pro, RAB, Toalson, Klip (Sidewinder, I believe), SA, Gamma...

Looks like Mr Wise has pulled a Microsoft and become the only game in town. I can see real potential for this machine at tournaments, since those stringers tend to carry backup manual machines in case their default electrics conk out.

the A04 Pro's Pro Pilot looks alright as well.

now it's time to get the PERFECT match for the 2086 head. anyone else have any other models to consider?

#1 issue would be the clamps that block the holes. and i don't want to end up loosen it each time the hole gets blocked. do the above machines do it?

    My mods

Speaking for the Pilot: yes, they do. I have had to modify mine to overcome it. Just remove the yellow pad from the small side of the K-bracket and replace it with a smaller and thicker piece of plastic. I used scraps of PVC window frame, which is perfect because it gives very slightly. If I can ever get my camera working I'll post some pics.

    Volia!

i finally got a quote from the Australian distributor. $1360.00 AUD which includes the tennishead and pedal. that's $1,252.35 USD. eeEeeeeeeeeeeeeeek

i think i will order from the US of A ($495 USD) if i can get postage less $200 USD to Australia?

i decided to modify my existing trump SM-B2 to fit instead of purchasing another crank machine. i'm going to mount it on the opposite side (non lever side) on the structural support itself OR on the table.

That's actually quite ingenious. If you can mount it in such a way that it won't slide (whatsoever), you're onto a winner. There's a fair amount of travel on that head, and the default position of the gripper is quite far forwards, so you can mount it pretty close to the turntable and have shorter loops as well.

I'd be curious to see some pics of this, as it's the first time I've ever seen it attempted (no pressure:D). If it works, you can even use your redundant swing arm as a radio antenna as well...
