ArcSaber 11 RRP is 290$ CAD. It will cost around 239$ CAD at most places. Yonex is also releasing the ArcSaber Flash Boost racket. It is 6U and the RRP is 275$, regular price should be around 225$.
You're kidding right? That's about RM 890 in Malaysia. With 30% discount, it's just shy of 600.If the racket is something like ZSlash, think I better sell my old one to finance the new.
Its true. Got some insider info as well and this is correct to my knowledge. I'm not liking what Yonex is doing at all.
Same here. Its going to put me and many others off as the price is astronomically crazy. You can get two very good rackets at that price.I might only get it once there is a sale for the racket, or 2nd hand in the Buy&Sell forum.
The mistake you are making there is that all top end YY rackets cost this much in Canada . I remember someone here buying NS9900 for $300CAD ... To get a fair estimate, it would be helpful to compare with the RRP for other rackets in Canada. I would expect a store price of between 150 and 160 euro initially (which I see also happens to be around 600MYR). Not sure which two very good (top brand) rackets you can get for that in Malaysia?? It is a top of the line ArcSaber, surely you weren't expecting something below 500 when apparently 550 is a very good price for NS9900 with stringing and some useless goodies (from the best price thread).
Well, the top-end racquets have mostly started off at that price-range; VT-ZF, VT80, the Premium series... even now, the ARC10 sells at CAD 220+; the RRP is generally meaningless IMO...
Just realized $239CAD is around 180 euro and is only close to 20% "discount". Was wondering how it could be RM600 and 150-160 euro also ~RM600 . I think 140 would be a good price to sell it for but still expect between 150 and 160 euro here with 21%VAT/sales tax included (still too much to buy it for but at least it's no 180 )
http://www.yonex.co.jp/products/badracquet/arcsaber_11.html As11 is medium or stiff ? A new ArcSaber7 ?
Medium+ balance, (stiff)-xtrastiff ... left is for balance, right is for stiffness. Colour is red, like the red in Z-Slash like someone mentioned and yellow is also Z-Slash yellow from the looks of it .
No surprise there, the 10 was slightly more headlight compared to the ZS too. Not that we'd notice it much during play but the ZS whilst even balanced, is probably right at the top end of the scale. The greatest let down in the top of the range yonex racquets in my view was the Arc10. It's an awful racquet considering the price. Tiny sweetspot, unforgiving, low torsion resistance, vibration, poor feel. I can't help but think that the NS9900 is what the Arc10 should have been (perhaps with a tiny bit more head weight). I seriously hope that the Arc 11 addresses the problems with the Arc 10.
Strange. I feel the Arc10 is the best one I have used amongst the racquets. But then again, mine is the PG version...
I also have the PG version as well as the original red one. I have two as I got the red one very cheap (hoping it would be different to the PG). Obviously what I said above is my opinion and I'm sure others may disagree. But I've been collecting and using yonex racquets for almost 25yrs and have used most of the top end racquets in that time. The Arc 10 is perhaps the worst I've used amongst the top end racquets - bar a few such as the Aerotus 110. Yes it has been used by a lot of pros (although we cannot be sure it is the same as the consumer ones) and it has been very popular with non-professionals - so this is just my view on it. I just feel that the lower ranked ArcSabers perform far better than the 10. The 8DX and 7 both are better racquets than the 10 in my book, and when you consider the price too they beat the 10 hands down.
The 8DX frame is slightly wider and not as long as the 10 if I remember correctly. The 8DX is stiff, but not massively stiff.
You were indeed correct about ARC10, I actually came across this rumour not too long ago as well. Looks like 8DX & 5DX are gone as well, which explains the massive discounts in Japan (well at least at one store). No DX frame for the 11 ...
