Is ZYL a CPC member now? Yes, me think TQ/BYX look promising also MJ/TJH and ZYL/CS. My question is where Zhong ???
From what I've gathered, Zhao Yunlei is a member of the CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), an advisory body to the CCP (Chinese Communist Party). Of course, she has to be a CPC (Communist Party of China aka CCP - Chinese Communist Party) member as everyone else holding office and she was elected as the Hubei delegate according to the article someone posted. Zhong Qianxin was injured during the CBSL and should be now in Germany undergoing treatment. Xia Huan is also there. Guo Zhendong and Chen Xiaojia also injured, the latter during the HK Open SS and underwent surgery in HK Elizabeth hospital before returning to mainland China. CMIIW.
sorry, i mean Qiu... http://bwf.tournamentsoftware.com/profile/overview.aspx?id=755490C3-9137-40DB-8B49-8D56822C99B1
Regrettably, ZYL had a rather poor showing on the final day of AE. Not sure whether it was due to her age or the recent shuffling of pairings. Hope that she can sort out her issues and get back on track.
I'm afraid it's not so straight forward. For those who've been following her developments on and off court, what RedShuttle surmised aren't entirely "some retarded reasons". She is not only involved in political activities and duties, " the recent shuffling of pairings" that CBA is actively experimenting needs time for the players to adjust and adapt. As normally happens in life and work, any introduction of changes, esp if they are sudden and sweeping, requires an accommodation period to work things out and overcome teething problems before they begin to bear the hoped-for results (assuming the right decisions were made in the first place). Yes, in that AE final, the INA pair did play very well, no doubt about and clearly deserved to retain the title. As for Zhao Yunlei, I can do no better than to quote Redshuttle's words:"Hope that she can sort out her issues and get back on track". One doesn't become an Olympic double doubles gold medallist in XD and WD without having any special abilities, if I may put it that way. As kwun rightly observed, Team CHN sems to be about 10% off their peak form post-Olympics. IMHO, as far as human affairs are concerned, nothing progresses (or regresses) in a straight line, i.e. linearly, whether up or down or level, but zig-zags along the way.
Nice and lovely story. "并按照计划在半决赛对阵队友的时候,选择了退赛" So it's no longer a secret that the coach picks the team to win.
yeah, i realise that the stories are fictitious. hahaaa... imo, Zhao/Zhang were already an item during All England in March 2010. Just look at the way they give high five. nevertheless, it was a good read.
Not much happening on board the Zhao YunLei Express. A few photos of the train conductor, on board entertainer and ground transport driver.
Quite amazing the look of the little Zhao Yunlei at the last picture "ground transport driver" projects so well into the future... her look that we know at present days just look at her eyes & lips
i think the stories of their relationship came out in mid-year then. I saw them walking around HK Open outside during a quiet period and one could see they were more than just badminton partners.
My goodness! Zhao YunLei now has a statue. It is in a river side park in WuHan where the last TC/UC took place.
One interesting thing I notice about ZYL is that she's very friendly with a lot of the other staff. She was giving hugs to all the linesmen and service judge. She was hugging and taking pictures with a lot of the photographers and reporters.
