Gotta give him his due. DuPY may not have the skill of LD or CHL or even WZM, but he has great mental toughness. His determination, and his ability to stay cool during the critical points won him the match.

Second time lucky for DuPY who proves he's not one to be trifled with on his day. Maybe Datuk should have taken the break,go for his honeymoon and come back refreshed.

Got to agree with you, DuPY is such a diligent, mentally quite tough player who never gives up. Yeah,he made up for his lack in talents with hard work, dogged determination and the right attitude; he just keep going and going, no matter what, remarkable.

    A well-deserved victory for DuPY.

If DuPY can top the group and avoid playing Chen Long in the SF, then it might be a LCW -CL Dream semi-final.:p:D

DuPY, with nothing to lose, played above himself to beat a fearsome opponent - a sort of underdog advantage. Still it wasn't easy, he could have lost the deuce, but his nerves held while LCW's cracked.

Well, when Li YB complained that the top players are playing too many tournaments, esp in the Olympic year which he felt there should be a a lull period immediately after for them to take a break, some people here didn't agree and said he was telling grandmother story, a nag trying to influence BWF to CBA's advantage when actually he was speaking for everyone.

LYB is probably upset that so many of the Chinese fans were cheering for LCW instead of Chinese player. I think about 70% were cheering for LCW, and 30% for DPY.

LYB had been vocal in the past when the Chinese fans cheered for LCW over Lin Dan even.

Anybody knows why Sho Sasaki abstained from taking part in the SSF? He isn't injured, right? I know he played in the All Japan National Championship.

I remember how Lee CW once lost to Shon Wan Ho, also at the crucial points.

Hope DuPY is not 'punctured ' after this hard fought win. Hu Yun and Boonsak are anything but easy meat.

I believe all is not lost for Datuk, he has a lot of reserves to call on, and can still win the title. Never rule him out. I'd expect him to overcome the next two opponents convincingly to stay on course to the final.
