Not my style to predict before the tournament begins for I normally wait to see a player's form in the opening round but this time I'd jump the gun and boldly predict Wang Yihan to emerge champion in the DEN SSP. She not only has a point to prove after her Olympic 'disappointment' but also possesses the hunger and drive to succeed.

Her last CHN Masters triumph is a case in point where she showed no signs of letting up, her fighting spirit, intensity and will-to-win very much in evidence (as opposed to her more fortunate junior LXR, not blaming her though as she was distracted and diverted by all those post-OG events). Even if LXR turns out to be her opponent in the final, my bet's on her to get one back.

Lol. I am from India. How come you people identify yourselves. I find it difficult to identify chinese people so easily as everybody looking like the same.

Me too. Though we have many Indians here, I find it rather hard to identify them too. It's worse with Africans.

i think she did quite well in her match, except for the second set, with more mistakes. But overall her shots are quite good, some nice smashes, fairly good net play. Let's hope she can do better when facing nehwal/baun tomorrow..
