We'll see tomorrow...Panda is very rarely wrong. This panda wannabe has been given many compliments on his new level of play with his panda weapon...aka my bamboo stick

As for the stencils, how about Panda holding a racket? Usually you'll see a Panda holding a bamboo stick, but this time changing the stick to a racket would be a good thing. :p

HAH and YOU were the one telling ME that I had too many Panda Power rackets when I bought 4 Precision and 2 UPro. Though granted, all the Panda rackets I have only amount to a third of my collection... but STILL! 8 UPro at once is close to $1K!

I am definitely waiting for the Precision with clear coat frame and British Racing Green color scheme for better feel, which I like to term the "Precision+" :D I think that would be an appropriate name. heh Precision+
and I will always and forever be waiting for the Revelation.

Only rackets, shirts and racket bags in the foreseeable future. Definitely not shoes.

Well Panda may not have another Upro so I had to take as many as I need :)

Precision Pro! With the new clear coat finish, now that'll complete the Panda line up.

Panda cannot believe you bought so many. Panda feels the need to send you something for your patronage.

Please e-mail Panda, he'll think of something. Wow Ma, talking in the third person is so becoming but Panda guesses that's what Panda's do. :p

DinkAlot, can you explain why the lack of paint on the frame improves its stability? In my mind, the only benefit of the lack of paint is less unnecessary weight on the frame and a slightly (though negligible) difference in overall frame thickness. The only justification I can think of is that the bonded paint weakens the surface layer of graphite/composite in the frame..

EDIT: I read back a few posts and I can understand how a naked frame would produce more feedback/feel less dull. Still don't understand how it improves stability.

    @thejym:
I don't know if this would answer your question, but this is quote from dink about no paint on frame:

I just read that post actually, and it makes sense. Perhaps it's as I suspected, with the bonded layer of paint weakening the surface material slightly. I'm particularly interested because I'm a Materials Science & Engineering major :p

Decided to rest my elbow for the next few week and just exercise so will postpone my Ultra review. No sense traveling down to Panda Land and not being up for all the training and badminton.

From my limited time with it can safely say.

    Great feel and so solid.
Like the look especially with black string.
    Good power and control.
Stiff racket but nothing crazy. Good technique generates nice noises.
I picked light ones so defense was quite good for an offensive geared racket.

In comparison to the Precision it is another league as you have to elevate your game
to maximize what it can offer. Precision is so easy to use there is no thought behind it
and you are very relaxed using it. I am not used to head heavy rackets so had to be more alert. So timing and a sore elbow hampered me but did hit my hardest smash of
the season with it. It does play heavier than it seems so please note that if considering.
For doubles my 82g 298bp sounds tame but when you use it certainly isn't.

Well a bit of a review after all but looking forward to healing up and trying some of Dan's prototypes when I go to visit.

    cheers
    when I go to visit

Gave the Ultra Pro (84.5g/294bp and 86g/287bp) a heavy heavy go around today (2:30PM-6:30PM, constant singles). Also played a bit with my Precision and T2v1 as comparison. However, I will not do an in-depth review for the following reason:

This racket is beyond my abilities right now as a player. At least with ZM67 at 26lbs. This is a definite forewarning. If you can use this racket to its fullest extent consistently for a long period of time while utilizing 75% of your strength, go for it. I've always believed that in a serious match, play at 75% and with a racket that you can use fully at 75% (for various reasons) and I simply cannot do that with this racket.
Here's a note on its stiffness: definitely stiffest racket I've used in a long time, definitely surpassing Ultra 2 and MP100. So, to my surprise, I can flex the shaft, but only at 100-115% swing, so it's a little draining to get a good baseline clear at this tension. But for doubles, where there is (ideally) no clearing, this negated. In fact, the stability of such a stiff shaft makes for very accurate and very precise drops, drives, and smashes, a must have in terms of the double game. Smashes take a little effort though, but as I am more of a control-type player, its not a huge factor. However, due to lack of ease, I'll be sticking with my Precision. It is still the most natural racket I have ever held, and in games, I want to worry about where I'll be placing my next shot, not how I'll have to swing to do so.

This does NOT mean I don't like it. This has some of the best feel and control out of any racket I've played with. So this is probably my "lazy day" racket/playing with lower level teams. I'll keep the 86g/287bp at 24lbs in my bag for this purpose +smash practice, and use the other for clear practice. But for now, its the Precision for EVERYTHING with ZM67 at 29lbs

Also picked up the Upro today and had a little fun at 30x33 and while I could not generate any sort of real power off of it, I felt the racquet was indeed a nice upgrade to the U2. However, I will say this, I actually do not mind the slight head-heavy feel to the U2.

For now, I will keep playing in the hopes that I will snap the string very soon and go back down to 26x28 and see how I can play with it.

Strung with BG65 purple string and it's looking rather nice :D accents the purple on the shaft rather nicely!

    Outgrew the Trinity2?

Is it possible that I grew out of the Trinity2? Tested a friend's Ultra 2 and it feels much better. The stiffer shaft of Ultra2 definitely feel much better as the shaft does not flex as much compared to the Trinity2.

I think I will need UltraPro :D but my wallet :crying:
