Back in 2005,.....Tony really demonstrated best front court plays to won his WC with HB...............at that time he was at his best..........but now.........KKK, CY are in front now.......
I agree partly if you define it as such. I used the "dominating" as meaning he always dashes to the net without fears and mostly wins at the net fighting; he knows how to "make" winning at the net. And I recommend you to watch the videos of his game, especially check the final stages of all the games. So as you might know, the first strategy of all his opponents is; don't fight with Yongdae at the net; just keep him in the back. That's one of the reasons he's spending more time in the back. I also respect Hendra like Yongdae, as the team's achievements mostly rely on Hendra's super control plays at the net. (You know, there are bunch of strong smashers out there; the only difference is whether or not they have good "control" player at the net.) I admit Hendra spends quite a time in the front while Kido running around in the back for hard smashes. I think that makes Kido have his severe injury on his knee. They should have changed their strategy for the issue.) Thanks for good talks.
During Super Series final 2008, Ha Tae Kwon joked around with Tony ( Tony brought Leon, his son) for revenge...haha..Ha Tae Kwon could not forget about that 15-0....Tony said that at that time, they did not think they could beat them 15-0....
KKK is the most deceptive/controlled net player. Cai Yun is the most powerful/attacking net player. Lee Yong Dae is my favourate all round doubles player purely because of his creative defence style. He can change to almost any direction from almost any attacking shot and then has a killer jumpsmash. He can control the net with his quick movement and kill from the back so hes my favourate Fu Hai Feng is next in line haha
Have you watched any videos of Tony Gunawan and Kim Dong Moon? Check them out on youtube. Especially the All England Finals doubles 2000 and 2001.
Haha, kayy. Though Tony G and KDM are legends who nobody can deny were the best frontmen of their day.
