hey, dinkalot,y don you make a racket bag??with bamboo stick design and a big cute panda on it.....ppl using it can help promote your brand!!!btw,is your site done yet???
Someone remind me again how Dan came up with the name "Panda Power" and the the meaning/significance of it?
haha, awesome designs... What software are you guys using? (mainly directed at Sketchy and easy tiger.... I already have paint) So anyway, my shot at this,
somehwat, I like the assymetrical stuff, I tried to give it a different look. the Xfeel is red on top, white on one side, on the other graphite-colored and black. It's much more detailed.
This is really cool that everyone is trying out their designs on the template. We talentless ones salute you! What isn't easy on such a template is small intricate patterns. (Think of designs like Karakal's tattoo) Some of you gifted artists could probably do all kinds of patterns ... creeping vines; tiny silhouette baddy players; stars and supernova; or any pattern you might find on your fine china. (eg. http://www.wedgwood.com/GB/Tablewar...5803573/Full+Cover+Accent+Plate+-+Blue+-+15cm) Keep up the good work! (as someone said, perhaps all this belongs on its own thread rather than here as a pile of untendered submissions to Panda Inc.'s Design Department)
Not legally, no. Anyway, the current version is about 11 or 12, but it got a bit crap after Corel bought out JASC, which is why I still use 8. If you can get used to the interface, I think "The GIMP" is widely regarded as the best free alternative to Photoshop/PaintShopPro. Intricate designs like the Tattoo aren't an option - it's too much work for the manufacturer to get it perfect, so it's not worth their while when Panda is only going to order a few hundred rackets (I believe Panda prefers clean & simple anyway). You'd be surprised at some of the limitations we have to work with, when it comes to the visuals (they're a lot more accomodating when it comes to the actual design and materials).
You can DL the latest version of The Gimp for free here (~16MB): http://download.cnet.com/GIMP/3000-2192_4-10073935.html?tag=mncol
My upcoming customized Panda Power U3 (first draft; white grip alternatively): Panda Power Nordiques Have seen the color named frostbite blue but couldn't find the color code. Paint would be metallic like on the U2 or alternatively like U1/T1 in which case the inside of the frame would be white. (hmmm ... thought I had moved the panda power lettering upwards already. The nordiques lettering should get a different font as well but still searching for it ...) Larger version: Free Image Hosting by ImageBam.com
I use Adobe Illustrator. Not quite as intuitive to do bevels and other gradients, but I've been using the thing for over 15 years so I can make it work.
If anyone looking for a christmas gift to Dan, I would advice a visit to the following URL: http://www.zazzle.com/denmark_badminton_panda_tshirt-235388948379441260
LOL I think those shirts were based completly on dinkalot they obviously had looked at BC then relised that Dinkalot would be a good customer so they created the shirts now he has to buy and review one !
Hmm.. ..you are a true NFL (American Football) and NHL (Ice Hockey) fan with the New Orleans Saints' logo and used-to-be Quebec Nordiques' logo plastered all over the racket. ..quite possible. check out this thread (post #10): http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78702
Panda Power Serenity I did a black and white version too, which I think I might actually prefer ... I bet Dink is grimacing from the terrible "stringing" job I did on the images sorry about the huge size
