As much as they can do in tournaments rest.
They have to finish in top 8 by doing best in Thomas Cup preliminary and finishing at least Semifinal All England, India SS, German GPG, Swiss GPG, Australia GPG, and Badminton Asia Championship.

Positions 5-8 in MD are still open.
BoSan, BC/GZD, KKK/TBH, Hashimoto/Hirata, Alvent/Hendra, and Kindra have critical points each to defend in tournaments I mention.

I am not sure how points in team tournament being computed.
But looking from Sudirman cup result, a player get "free" point at least 5000.
Not sure for Thomas Cup preliminary.
But, if INA is serious wishing Kindra playing in Olympic, Kindra can play there instead of BoSan.
Kindra do not have points from team tournament, BoSan have already 5600 from Sudirman Cup.

    Watch out these semifinal today.
If you are Kindra fans, just hoping BC/GZD and Hashimoto/Hirata could not reach final (evil wish..sigh)

Hendra partnering Vita for German GP gold. Would that affect Kindra performance?

It's not the first time that they parnter up with someone else. Don't think that this will affect them this much.

Out of the top 12, only CB/GZD, INA2 and INA3 can earn points from the TC prelim. For both the INA pairs they should get about 6000 points and it’s a good chance that they can squeeze the TPE pair down to No 10.

From then on if both the INA pairs can keep pace with the TPE and JAP pairs, one of them will go to London.

    Indeed....they lost meekly again.

Sad to say that they are no longer the force to be reckoned with, compared to the top 3 pairs in the World. Let's just say that they are satisfied with 1 Olympics Gold, 1 Asian Games Gold, and 1 WC.

Kido said in one article that he will cheer his brother in london, furthermore, they've done their part for Indonesia, to me, that means he'll not compete in Olympic

thanks for your 2008 Olympic Gold and 2010 Asian Gold,, Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan :)

last time i watch Kido/Hendra in All England against Be/Mogensen. they didnt have game plan. Kido play with full of emotion and mistakes. then i realize that they will not make it.
not surprise with their lost in Swiss GPG. i wonder, a married guy like kido have a such high emotion and still cannot control it.

I think, they are still considered as a legend pair in badminton era. with Asian games gold, WC gold, and olympics gold in hand.

better for Sigit Pamungkas to return to Pelatnas. dont let Ko Herry work lonely with so many pairs. Kido can become a coach i think. Hendra, please return to Pelatnas. A player like you can give some lessons to the youngster to raise. Hendra/Ahsan will be good. it's ok. or maybe, Hendra can become an assistant coach in Pelatnas, i am sure, it will be perfect !
