2014 Yonex New Racket (Voltric Z-Force II / VT-ZF2)

I wonder what would you guys guess the price of Z-force 2 would be? I only owned 1 Yonex racket in the last 15 years that I played Badminton, and I think Z-force 2 will surely be on second Yonex racket, because it looks too sexy.

 

I want to say isometric 800 or something

 

He doesn't say he's been using the same Yonex racquet for 15 years, just that he's only owned one in 15 years.

 

Here we go again. A new yonex racket that appearently is going to be amazing and better than the last one and the last one and that last one. The only reason peope are buying it is what yonex says about it. "The new voltric z force 2!!. Extreme power and speed!. It's even used by the world number 1 Lee Chong Wei!. Its a must buy. Dominate your oppenants" this almost happens with nearly every yonex racket. Did you see the voltric z force add? They make such a big deal out of it but it's not even better than the last one. Buy if you wish. Im buying it for social reasons. To see if yonex are lying again or it's actually a good racket.

 

No kidding! Z Force definitely outperformed vt80 and vt80 definitely outperformed AT900!

 

Not for me. I find the VT80 to be the better racket of the two, and evidently I'm not the only one. Seeking pure power, ultimate stiffness and head heaviness should not come at the sacrifice of feeling and feedback of play, and that's where I think the z force is lacking a touch.

Don't get me wrong, it's a very good racket, but I don't find it to be as consistent as the VT80.

 

Hahaha, a racket plays different to the person using it.

I had a Voltric 80 and I kept having shoulder pains after every session using it, I dont know why it happened? But when I switched the Voltric Z-Force, I didn't have the same problem

 

That's so strange to me lol. Because the ZF is a considerably more demanding racket to use imo. Stiffer and quite a lot more head heavy (by about 10mm balance point I think). Maybe you just increased in skill and fitness in between the time you used both rackets?

My fitness has worsen since, I dont get to exercise a lot during school time, but I think power has changed between the 2 rackets and maybe endurance, when using the ZF because its so head heavy getting it above your head takes a lot of energy especially after hours of playing.

 

Paul's stringer friend and himself have a lot to lose if this 'Carsten's FB is really a VF' story is untrue, so as a purely value judgement I'd say it's more real than not. However, if I was a betting man, I'd probably go with a 'custom' FB for Carsten rather than a repainted ZF, but I think because of the fairly chunky FB frame it would be easy to spot if you were an experienced stringer so I think Paul's friend has that to his advantage.

It's common knowledge that many of the pro players - especially the Koreans with their Victor sponsorship - have access to custom specified rackets, so people should not be even remotely shocked or dismayed at this.

After all, if you buy a FB because you think Carsten uses it and that it will make you play like Carsten, then you're completely delusional already

 

And if you try and string it at 36 lb because Mogensen does, you deserve for it to explode in your face, IMO.

 

Next is to get some Neon Glow Spray for the LCW Tron feel

 

any neon strings to go with it? disappointing color or quality?

Edited: then again, don't expect too much from yonex. They glamorized the racket a lot. So the actual product tends to fall short of the expectations.
