Yesterday, I compared a 4U-G4 VT80 to a 4U-G4 VT80LTD, both with NBG98 at 25 LBS. I felt the VT80LTD was a little softer and had less vibrations. Other than this, there was no difference between these two in playing capabilities.
I just purchased the FAKE VT-80 from eBay for $30 USD and received it just now.. The physical appearance is 100% identical after comparing in the stores. The stickers, the butt end green cap and all the font sizes/styles are right on. The Voltric bag seems to be the same texture as the genuine bag. Also the quality of the printing seems to be high quality, and not more of those jagged edges and wrong spacing. The racquet even has a FAKE Yonex authenticity card written in Chinese LMAO..... Even the -SP cone code seems to be legit stating the racquet was produced in 2011.... I can't believe how the clone market is catching up fast now. The clones looks like the real deal. Yonex should update their website for how to distinguish fake and genuine Yonex racquets because the article seems to be outdated. Aside from that, the fake VT-80 seems to be less head heavy than the genuine. Also the fake VT-80 seems to be just as stiff both shaft-wise and racquet-wise (with the frame strung at 25lbs BG-80) Not bad I have to say, for $30.
May I ask what your point is to buy a fake in the first place. Do you think it will perform better than a racket painted differently that sells for $30 ??
I bought it just for curiosity's sake. I have never purchased a fake, and was curious. I will not be using the fake for actual tournaments, just for training... It's not a extremely bad carbon graphite racquet since it was only $30 lol.. I don't have to worry too much about frame deformation, clashes, or paint chips.... I will use it for what it's worth.
Can you post up some pictures? The usual serials, butt cap, cone, joints, close-up of the racquet paint job, fonts.Would like to see how good the fake ones have become. At least we all can benefit from this.
It's only regarding the feeling. It did not have any influence on the playing capabilities. The power, control and speed was the same. It was like there was some dampening system taking the vibration away. @AzrinRain: Both versions are the BX versions (Benelux stating for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg). @mms6a: Maybe it's me, but I would not expected a real one for $30. Not even used.
just bought a voltric 80 3ug4. Bp: 316mm and weight is 93g strung with bg80 at 26lbs with just original grip. injured shoulder however so it will see limited use tomorrow.
Yes I have them both, the Voltric 70 is SUPER light and is very good when it comes to everything but smashing. But I have to say it aint half bad there either. But personally I like the Voltric 80 better becaus I dont fint it a problem to swing it fast or anything, and it gives me a lot of power behind my smashes. Mine is now at a very low tension so with a higher tension which I will try to get, it will probably have even more power. Hope this helps.
on the cone, it's recommended maximum tension is 27lbs, however, mine is strung at 32lbs and still has no problem.
yeah, totally right dude. That's why after my string broke down, I'll immediately cut down all string before another cracks going up. Yet, I still do love my 32lbs BG65.
Ah okay, thx guys So if is string it at 32lbs it is a chance that the racket will crack if I dont hurry and cut all the strings? Sorry, what racket is BG65? The only rackets I know something about is yonex and forza And I know that Lin Dan plays with Li-Ning woods n90
LOL~ since I am a hard hitter player, I couldn't use all thin-type strings such as BG66, BG66UM,BG66MAX, and so on. So, I just use BG65 instead of using expensive strings, it's fit to my play style~
Considering buying this racket and I am wondering if I should get 3u or 4u. Would 4u help at all with the head weight of the racket?
I second that question. I know the answer is out there allready, but this thread is getting relly long. I have got the VT70 in 4U and I find it a bit too light. And control is lacking too.
