AngRi can give any of the top 12 pairs a good fight, they should be in top 10 soon. The problem is both lack experience. Actually, if they switch partner with Bona/Ahsan for 1 tournament, they might gain some experience.
PBSI should choose AngRi to be in Thomas Cup. It should be BoSan, KinDra and them. Or if Alvent is selected, then one of them should be selected instead of Hendra A Gunawan.
I can see more confidence in them, especially playing against top 10 pairs. However, they are still not consistent enough, resulting in the loss to lower ranked pairs such as Wu/Liao (Korea SSP 2012) and Issara/Jongjit (in India SS 2012 SF) So far, the 7 losses this year are from: Kido/Hendra - 1x Hashimoto/Hirata - 2x Chai/Guo - 1x Endo/Hayakawa - 1x Wu/Liao - 1x Issara/Jongjit - 1x They have huge pts to defend in the next few months and they better win a title or two to make sure they can still be in the top 20!
although Angga/Rian play lazy style, but their attacking is quite deadly. very good. now, they have to improve their drive play and control the tempo. this will help them to control the game and save some energy. they can not just attack and attack. it will exshaust them. we have seen last year, when Angga/Rian lost tamely to Chai/Guo because empty tank of gas after tiring game against Lee/Jung.
Yeah.. i felt the same way too... Whats wrong with them... Hope they could get back to their old performance & keep it steady & growing...
I read somewhere that Ryan was ill during the final. Hence couldn't play his 100%. Not trying to defend them, but I don't think they are the type who'd lose without any fight (i.e. score below 10).
miksss, i only manage to watch their final match against MAS MD Zakry/Tazari. I am really upset with their performance, tonnes of unforced errors, seems that they do not focus in this match.
Yup, watched the match yesterday and i'm puzzled with the way this ina pair played..Totally not playing like their normal days.. It seems like one of them is down with something or they themselves actually got fuzzied with the pair they haven't meet before, the fuzzy pair?..
Pratama saputro are a pair of the future, good skills and creative play BUT they have been unable to match Kido's strength and Hendra speed at the net. And they should be breaking out by now at the same age Kido and hendra broke out. Fuzzies are no push overs and have very good skills so this MD pair have long way to go. Indonesian woes may not get a good turn yet.
both of them have excellent skills... but something is wrong with them as a pair... when they played against fuzzy, i remembered they show the same game against chai/biao in INA SSP 2011 after defeating Chung/Lee. bad show... they dont have champion mentality as a pair... better split them... but of course, i hope the best for them... mental strenght is the only thing miss from this pair...
Does anyone knw which one of them r using flypower tornado 800?if im nt mistaken one of then did use tornado 800 b4 australian open.just curious btw, they had played well beatinh hendra-ahsan in the final.their attacking is deadly!no wonder kkk-tbh find it hard to beat them
This is their second title (first at GPG level). They won the Vietnam Open GP in 2011 and were runners-up in a couple of GPG level tourneys. The next target is surely a SS title and top 10 ranking by this year!
