I had other minor clashes with beginners before and no chip. For this one I was going for a smash and the girl came from the side and crossed right in front of me. I tried to stop mid smash but we still hit. I have also mishit birdies PRETTY HARD and no chip. For reference I broke a Yonex MP100 this way. Also my MX80 is strung at 28lbs with ZM65. For me it feels genuine. It's the stiffest racquet I have and also the most accurate. Grommets are holding up really well.
ok, thanks for clarification. Really appreciate! I will let him know his racket is genuine and not fake at all. Wow, dimcorner, a girl came a cross and you smash with her racket? Did she compensate you? haha. thanks and have a great weekend!
Same problem with my BS10, MX80, MX60 and BS LYD, and the paint on the cone peel easily. Usually minor clash. But I broke my almost new BS 10 with one major clash. But I still consider Victor is better than Yonex, especially the LYD
Just had a major clash with a doubles partner. His Wilson racket absolutely imploded. My MX80 got a tiny paint chip at 2 o'clock.
Does anyone have any advice for stringing the mx80? I know the stringing pattern but I am not sure how much string to start with on the mains for the shorter cross string part and how much for the longer cross string part. I had a quick skim of the thread but couldn't seem to find an answer, so sorry if it is in their somewhere!
Pull through the amount you normally would for a one piece (short side) and add on a metre and you'll be fine! Not the easiest to explain I'm afraid, so I hope that helps? Give me a shout if I can help anymore.
My MX80 does have a few scratches though, including paint chip. some violent clashes that killed my previous rackets but my MX80 is still standing. Might be able to post some scars if requested.
That does help, thanks. I usually string two piece but it isn't too hard to work out the length of string needed for the short side of one piece. It will just be the same as the normal length for stringing the mains for two piece. Then add one metre for the MX80. Just one more question, how long should the long piece be? I am guessing between 6-7m but I'm not certain.
In my opinion the best racket which Victor ever made. A really joy strung @ 28X30lbs. My racket has a few paint chips, too. But I don't care, because this can happen to every racket.
Hi Santa SCSI, Yeah, i you could post some pic to share the scarce of war of your precious victor racket will be appreciate.
Hi guys , can you give me some opinions about mx 80 heres my problems, im trying to do cross smash with huge power but i always miss hit the shuttle and the shuttle always hit my shaft, but if i do straight smash , it is awesome I also do some check , see that shon wan ho , chung jae sung mostly do straight smash do you have that kind of experience?
No. Never made this experience of mishitting when I do cross smashs. Try to work on your technique and the stroke of a cross smash. It's not the racket. It's you. My straight and cross smashs are the same in terms of power.
I understand about that , but when im trying to change with other rackets i was able to do that without missing any chances, just wondering why ? how i describe it , hmmmm its not exactly cross smash , its slicing cross smash
In the last few months I hardly used the mx80... it gives me severe arm and shoulder pain. I much prefer the mx70 and look forward for mx60 to come to the UK.
mx 80 Hey guys ive been playing with my 80 for a few months now and I decided id crash here after I tried to change to JJS. I bought 2 jjs on MBS but ya know...I was surprised to see that it wasnt comparable. Soo I am back to my first love.
Cool. seems like a lot of people saying MX 80 very stiff. Comparing to N90, which one stiffer ...? Badminton fans , pls advise ?
