i really shouldn't have opened the package that contained my Revelation at work. after staring at it for 15min, i wanted to make it a sick day and go hit with it during lunch hours. from now on, i will time my orders so that they will come either by monday morning or friday morning, when i actually plan to play during the night of those days...now i gotta wait three days :(

back on topic, the racket frame is wonderful, it's wide and thin up top at 12 o'clock, and thick near the t joint, just the way i like my rackets. tho i play well with the z speed, i really dislike the frame. on the other hand, the revelation looks similar to the z force which i love. from just looking at the racket, my favorite thing about the racket is the butt cap...ok besides the carbon fiber that goes all the way down the shaft, the butt cap is probably something that's attracting my attention at this moment!!! probably the coolest butt cap i've seen, might be cooler than my wilson vertex or li ning n80 butt caps :)

I don't know if this was suggested before...I also posted this question in the grommets thread.

@DinkAlot - as an improvement to the revelation and precision pro, did you consider using T-Style shared grommet (found in yonex/li-ning) instead of the standard ones?

I think it will help protect the frame better especially since they are all exposed and would spread the load better compared to a conventional circular shared grommet.

If you did consider it was their quite a cost markup? Are there patents/royalties fees that would prevent you from using those style grommets.

If you do know a manufacturer or source that could sell this type of grommet could you PM me the details, I'd like to modify all my existing precision pros to use that style of grommet myself.

Chance it could be here tomorrow. If so will have it strung and playing tomorrow. Should be interesting
if it can replace the Revelation in my bag. Then again with our crappy blowing snow today the plane
might want to stay in BC.

Yeah that can be quite annoying especially when you string for mishitters

At least the meteors have extra shared holes that allow an extra top cross.

Can someone post some salient features this racquet? Its difficult to go through all the pages. I have seen the website and i know that it can sustain more tension.

My current favorites are Yonex Armortec 900p and Li ning n90. I would like to try out Panda Power. Which model should I opt for?

received the Revelation last week, played with it the first time last friday, the weight is just right (3u), balance is wonderful (even balance), and flexible shaft. strung with zymax70 @ 24lbs, it actually plays very similarly to zymax67.

played again yesterday. both days i've played doubles and it allowed me faster reaction due to the weight and balance of the racket. the string and tension allowed me to place very decent tumbling net drops. hitting clears was effortless due to the flexible shaft. even tho it's considered light for my standard, it allowed me to place backhand clears with little effort as well. i still need more time getting the timing right for smash shots since the shuttle's pace is a bit slower.

i will play again tonight in singles to see how well i perform with this racket. i can be pretty certain that my reaction time will increase in singles as well, but i am curious to find out when i'm tired and am trying to place a backhand clear, how well i can execute it :)

paint job is excellent in my opinion, with a very attractive butt cap! even the cone is very nice and there was a moment where i wanted to regrip my overgrip so that it doesn't cover the whole cone.

i am very happy with this racket and i do recommend this to anyone who's looking for a racket that could be "customized" to your specific needs...if you know what your needs are!
