yes taufik should stay on as he still have a good chance

he can still beat simon which isn't easy at all

maybe he should concentrate more onto his training

..the way i see it, realistically, unless Taufik dedicates the rest of the yr off to 110% training, i don't see it happening. What with him having to take care of 2 kids now. He probably will win the upcoming Canada Open & U.S. Open GP, but in bigger tournaments with better competitors, it'll be a big challenge for him. Right now, he is cruising and basically enjoying the last remaining yrs of his career as well as to promote to sport worldwide.
Motivation to compete is there, but without the proper training & the body...

Btw, TH is the only 4 heavenly baddy kings who hasn't won a single SS. What does that tell us??..

    Off topic:
For the Junior baddy tourneys, of course "older" kids would have a slight advantage..
..my man, you don't have to believe what i wrote. It's your choice. You can say my legs are being pulled, that's fine and dandy with me. And no, i'm not guessing or think.
Yes, that member who told me is a BCer, still active, though only logs in every so often. That member is also a big fan of one of the recently retired CHN players. Yes, i've met & chatted with that member, in person, and have seen actual pics of that member attending one of the private events of the player.
..Taufik could be older, i don't really care. But all i know is LD is older than his actual age.
..you don't believe in age cheating? The CHN gymnast who got busted for age cheating didn't convince you?..it's unfortunate but reality is, it happens everywhere (not just in CHN)..
I mentioned it because someone brought up the comparison between the 4 heavenly badminton kings and their age in comparison to another.

*Enough comments from me on LD's actual age.

older kids would have a slight advantage that i agree

and it sure do apply to a lot of sports in a lot of countries

but older man i would have doubts there is any advantage

but thats not what you meant

and tonight the moon is make of green cheese!

That is the part I understood well regarding TH's less enthusiastic dedication towards physical fitness, it's evident he just draws from whatever tricks up his sleeves he's got but when it boils down to finishing it off... ...he is out of steam:eek:.

SS? He couldn't care less imo:).

Well, he'll clear his mind eventually before all is over:D:D!

Trust he won't be leaving on a quiet note but with a loud bang by winning the biggies once again. In other words, in his terms:cool:! Pete is by no means winning big (winning still, though) nowadays but I definitely think TH is hanging in there for the biggies, whether it happens or not remains to be seen (I hope so!):).

..Taufik is probably gonna win one of the biggies **if** LD, LCW, CJ, BCL are eliminated or don't attend in one of the major tourneys..
Against players like PG, SS, SDK, NTM, JP, HH, CL, BP, TH might have a chance..

TH has won the biggies before, what he does not want is to walk out and shine in his past reflected glory:cool:!

..if Taufik wants to go out with a bang, i mean a BIG BANG, and not walk out and shine in his past reflected glory, then i think he should target and win the AE (the only missing major title from his back pocket)...that's what i would do if i were him..

Many INA players (and CHN too) cheated on their age. Pia Bernadet was one known player I believe. I do believe that Taufik is also older than he is.

players cheat their age is no big deal, is no new news

and surely i don't have to be here 2 years ago to read stuff like this

    lol

I don't think the real age of Taufik older than the officially age.
I watched him since 1996 when he still really young kid, much much younger than other competitors like Rony Agustinus, Ignatius Rudy, Yudi Suprayogi etc who are competed in U-19. Taufik played in U-19 in that time despite his age still 15 y.o.
I tried compared with U-16 players from Djarum like Gunawan or Muammar Khadafy, Taufik still looked younger than them.

Yes, many INA shuttler lied to their real age but it doesn't mean all INA player's did it.
For example, I believe to the real age of Simon Santoso, Maria Kristin, Ana Rovita or the younger 17 y.o. age Suci Rizki Andini by following their physical growth from young age.

..oh, now there's a bit of confirmation, from one of the loyal INA badminton followers, that Taufik is actually not older than his official age listed in BWF??..hmm:confused:
