Hm strange. The poll seems to suggest that the crosscourt net shot is the most difficult shot to master for everybody. However for me it was very easy to do, I even mastered the trick crosscourt drops fairly easy. My weakness is smashing though, it has never been fast enough even with so much efforts in putting good technique into it.

my crosscourt net shot starts off with me in position to do a net shot, then I jab stomach with my racquet elbow and recover to center position

He doses a BHCC smash and it was more powerful than most's normal Smash. !! very Frightening!! .. Anyway I Think the most difficult is the BHCC Smash... ( And No i cant do it !!! i have always been having a hard time mastering the straight net shot. i'm really erroneous on this part. maybe my reflex is just not quite fast enough. i have a pretty decent smash, but my real forte is drop shot. but whenever i'm in front and get an opportunity to flick the shuttle for a kill, there's a big tendency for it to go net.

Your problem can easily be solved by practising netkill/push drills :)

Can someone tell me about the smash?

I've been courtside with some high level players and everytime they strike the shuttle it sounds like a circusmaster cracking a whip ( That cracking sound!) or like a explosive gunshot!..( That explosive sound!)

    That moment is it

    pure power ?

    Wrist + Power ?

    Wrist + power + timing ?

    Wrist + power + timing + good footwork ?

Any thoughts on this ? any feedback from national /international players/coaches would be greatly appreciated ?

PS your hear that sound when a goodplayer jumpsmashes properly!

Do a search for "smashing sound" "smash power" "perfect jumpsmash". If you still don't have the results you're looking, start your own thread to have people help you. Just do a search first.

Cross court net. But I find the backhand cross court tighter than my forehand. Often my forehand will go into the net, while the backhand cross court will be tight to the net and out wide.

all the shots above are pretty easy, backhand smash would be the hardest for me, takes a lot of wrist strength and triceps

    EDIT -

A backhand overhead cross court jump smash performed while facing the back of the court.

    THAT is hard.

My crosscourt nets tend to go suprisingly well on the forhand side.
Let's not talk about my backhand crosscourt nets :D
