Im starting badminton, and i'm looking into competing... i just started yesterday, and people say i have a natural talent in badminton. track runner, strength, coordination, fast reflexes ;] i beat a couple people who have been playing for 6 months-1 year i just bought my own racket today, model is wilson hope specs: Features Level: Beginner / Recreational Type: Recreational / Class Flex: Stifff Head: Square / Isometric Weight: 100gm(3U-) B.Pt: N/A =============== Head: Alloy Shaft: Alloy Cover: Wilson 3/4 Cover String: Pre-strung by the manufacturer with Wilson durable string what irks me is the "recreational" part =/ i wanna get competitive at this sport can you tell me if its a good racket, and if not what other racket i should get? :]
i have no idea what model is that. however, start with this; 1. cut that manufacturer pre-strung string 2. send your racket to a reputable stringer 3. string Yonex BG-66 @ 23lbs use a while of this racket, improve your skills and techniques before jumping into new racket.........
ok ;] well i doubt my parents would let me cut the manufacturer string T.T they would say too much work =/ but i'll remember that ;] my friend could probably help me...
thanks for the welcome well... when they see the racket stringless i'm dead o.o; and my friend is kinda a really good badminton player, and shes also sponsered =P which i think is sorta awesome x] so maybe after i meet her she could get it quickly stringed after we cut it off o.o; like before my parents see that we cut off the string...
i have no comment on this. my opinion, just talk to your parents. string is important as it is direct contact to the shuttlecock. manufacturer pre-strung string is just no good. you are a female player, just have a nice talk will do......
Any racket with a price range of $100- $150 will be a good racket for a start. Most important thing is to enjoy the game. Get a good string. I would suggest Bg65 for a start.
